The word is out. I am running for Buda City Council, District B, and the response so far has meant more than I can say. I would love your help getting the word out to your neighbors too.

Join me for my Meet the Candidate event on September 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Nate’s on Main Street.

This campaign is about listening. It is about showing up for District B and building on what makes Buda worth calling home.

I am asking everyone to vote on November 3. If you are not registered to vote and need help, please reach out. I would love to see Buda, and especially District B, have one of our strongest voter turnouts yet.

Downtown Buda has a little something for everyone.

Little Bluebird and Old Main Station are two of those stops that remind you why shopping local is always worth it.

Tucked in at 122 N Main Street, this charming boutique and gift shop carries curated clothing, accessories, antiques, and eclectic home decor. The kind of place where you come in for one thing and leave with three.

And if you have ever driven through the corner of Main and 967, you already know them. That sign. The one that stops you mid-turn with the perfect Buda one-liner. It is as much a part of downtown as the shop itself.

There are people in this community who show up every single day, not for recognition, but because the work matters.

Canines Who Care brings emotional support and therapy dogs to first responders and into schools, giving students a moment to breathe, reset, and feel safe. The Hays CISD Education Foundation invests directly in teachers and students right here in Hays CISD. Paws Shelter of Central Texas - Dripping Springs gives animals a second chance at a home. Friends of the Buda Library work quietly and consistently to make sure our community has access to resources, programs, and a place to belong. And the parents behind our PTAs and booster clubs show up week after week to make sure our kids and schools have everything they need to thrive.

Different missions. The same heart.

I am honored to support organizations like these through events, volunteering, and simply showing up.

Advertiser Feature - Tariq, the owner of 1-800-JunkPro of Austin

If you have ever needed junk hauled or a dumpster dropped off in Central Texas, there is a good chance you have heard of Tariq and 1-800-JunkPro.

He is a Marine Corps veteran, and he runs his business on two principles: tell the truth and show up on time. That is it. Two-hour arrival window for junk removal, hit every time. Dumpster delivery from 7 AM to 7 PM, no surprises.

I got to know Tariq through networking, and we started SAMNA, a monthly networking meetup I co-host at Topgolf. It has become one of my favorite parts of the month. South Austin and North Austin business owners in the same space, no pitch decks, no agenda. Just good conversations that happen because people actually have room to talk.

Happy National Pickleball Day.

RacFit is a tennis, pickleball, fitness, and social club right here in Buda! They bringing something this community has needed for a long time, eight regulation pickleball courts, four of them covered, programming for all ages and skill levels, and a space built as much for community connection as for competition.

More than a court. A place to show up, get moving, and meet your neighbors. The Cantina is a great place for a meeting or quiet place to get some work done. Open to the public.

This is the last weekend to fill it up.

Through August 10, explore locally owned shops, restaurants, sweet treats, live music, and more across downtown Buda, collecting stickers from participating businesses for chances to win local prizes.
