School’s out for the summer!!

Today I finished out my guest teaching series for the Buffalo Public School’s B.O.S.S. entrepreneurial program. I absolutely love teaching and speaking with younger people about entrepreneurship, marketing, and creative pursuits. It makes me so happy to hear what they have going on, and to answer any and all questions.

Questions from the kids included:

- how much money do you make?
- how old is your daughter? (she’s in a few slides)
- did you know you were going to be successful?
- how much money do you make in a year?
- how do you come up with creative marketing campaigns?
- how do you manage all your clients?
- how much money do you make with your business? (lol)

I reminded them that money is important to survive, but we all need purpose and joy to be successful 🙃

The Buffalo Kid Entrepreneurs is an organization that provides free vending and mentorship to WNY’s creative youth. We are always looking for creative kids to join us! Youth groups, clubs, schools, and organizations are all welcome ✨


This summer, we’re partnering with Twenty6 Productions and Step Out Buffalo on their upcoming Artisans & Flea Market June 26-28, and are looking for kids to vend in our Youth Vendor Village.

Last night, me and some lucky ladies got to send our mentor, Marilyn Roach, off to retirement in style!

4 and a half years ago, I walked into Marilyn’s office, and my life changed for good. Leaving a corporate job, launching my business, taking courses and learning, then being able to actually do the consulting and teaching, Marilyn was there guiding me the entire way.

I can’t even begin to mention the amount of lives you have touched. We all meet people in the wild who were affected by Marilyn in some way. The WNY entrepreneurial world is at a loss with your retirement, but I am so happy for your new chapter! You deserve it 🍾

Thank you to Nancy for pulling the wool over Marilyn’s eyes to make sure, Kristen, Janna, Saira and I could celebrate with her. You can’t get rid of us!

Grace and Kora wrapped up Week 2 of the Buffalo Kid Entrepreneurs at the Easter Makers & Shakers Market last weekend.

Grace, or Braids by Bean (her nickname), absolutely killed it with the hair tinsels. As a BKE veteran, Bean had customers come to the Market just to see her! We've already got youth vendors building customer loyalty, how cool is that?!

Kora, the Pen Pixie, was inspired by her entrepreneur mom, Ashley, to start her own business making these adorable pens! We you one of the HUNDREDS who bought a pen over the weekend? If you couldn't make it, she'll be vending at the upcoming Artisans + Flea in June.

The Buffalo Kid Entrepreneurs is my youth organization that provides free vending and marketing mentorship to Buffalo's creative kids. We are always looking for new kids to vend with us, and have a HUGE market coming up this Summer. If you have a child interested, send me a message 😊

This week, our Bengal Entrepreneurship Program, is excited to have Arthur Musarra from the Western New York Law Center, Inc.'s Small Business Legal Clinic join us for Local Leaders.

Local Leaders is a program that brings in various guest speakers from different industries to teach aspiring young entrepreneurs.
