Virtually try on clothes with a new AI shopping feature

So today we’re introducing two new features that bring this fitting room experience to you: Virtual try-on for apparel uses generative AI to show you clothes on a wide selection of real models, while new filters help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

While apparel is one of the most-searched shopping categories, most online shoppers agree: It’s hard to know what clothes will look like on you before you buy them. Forty-two percent of online shoppers don’t feel represented by images of models, and fifty-nine percent feel dissatisfied with an item they shopped for online because it looked different on them than expected.1 Now, thanks to our new virtual try-on tool on Search, you can see whether a piece is right for you before you buy it.

Lesson #4: Ugly is sexy
Do you need a new pair of shoes? It would be nice to have the latest Jordan shoes, but do you really need them?

Do you need the new iPhone? Again it would be nice to have it, but I bet your old iPhone lets you order food, send text messages, make calls or even check your emails well enough.

Maybe the camera isn’t as good as the new phones, but I bet you don’t use your phone for high-end photography and more so just use it to take selfies… so the new camera isn’t really needed.

But what about industries like payroll? Do you think a business can just stop using its payroll provider?

The world of behavioral design uses a very smart framework called "Influence Maps."

The idea is simple: outline the steps people take to engage with, learn about, and form opinions/take actions around a problem-space. Then, figure out where and how you can have the most impact to positively nudge those behaviors.

The company wants to promote offline transactions between creators and brands in order to avoid Apple’s 30% cut of in-app purchases, Instagram head Adam Mosseri said Wednesday.
“We’re going to try and lean in to the places creators can actually make a stable living,” Mosseri said.

Facebook is setting its sight on the creator economy, hoping to allow millions of people to make a living off its family of apps.

Wow.

The ban means that Facebook users in Australia can no longer make posts that link to news articles—either in the Australian media or internationally. Meanwhile, users outside of Australia can't post links to Australian news sources. The ban has already gone into effect, as I discovered when I tried to post a link to The Sydney Morning Herald on Facebook

Facebook says Australia "fundamentally misunderstands" its relationship to news.
