A little heat from ’s Cherry Bomb hot sauce, a little watermelon sweetness, basically everything you want to be drinking once it hits above 75° again.

Kicking off part two of the Bootstrap Summer Cocktail Series🥂

This one’s sweet, spicy, refreshing, and dangerously easy to make:
The Spicy Watermelon Margarita-ish featuring Watermelon 🌶️🍉

Made with watermelon, tequila, and a little kick from ’s Cherry Bomb hot sauce. Honestly, this one is kind of perfect for the first real stretch of Vermont summer.

Save our recipe, for lake days, porch nights, and warm weekends ahead.

Ingredients:
1 PLINK tablet, Watermelon (activated in 2 oz cold water)
1.5 oz tequila
0.5 oz Runamok maple syrup
0.25–0.5 tsp Honey Cortland Cherry Bomb hot sauce
2 oz watermelon juice, pressed or blended
Ice

Instructions:
Combine hot sauce, watermelon juice, activated PLINK tablet, tequila, and ice in a shaker. Pour and strain over ice.

One of our favorite things about working in Vermont is how small the degrees of separation really are. You end up in rooms where founders, neighbors, creatives, students, and local businesses are all part of the same conversation. Congratulations to Seneca O’Bryan on graduating from ’s Class of 2026 🌟🎓
From starting at Bootstrap as an intern to evolving into a multidisciplinary designer, it’s been exciting to watch Seneca continue developing her creative voice and approach to design. Over time, her work evolved from simply making things look good into creating experiences that are interactive, intuitive, and grounded in real purpose and real people.
One thing Seneca shared that stuck with us: “I want to create work that makes people excited—the kind of projects that just make you feel good, and hopefully make others feel even better.” Congrats, Seneca. Your hard work, creativity, and growth over the years have truly paid off, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with you. 🥾🎉

Our Bootstrap team recently took a visit to ’s kitchen in Barre, VT to experience first-hand the sights, smells, and tastes of some seriously HOT hot sauces 🔥

We’ll say, you’ve probably never truly felt hot sauce until you’ve inhaled the steam wafting out of the giant pot of hot sauce cooking in the kitchen… 🥵 That’ll make your eyes water!
