We couldn’t be prouder of Jackson Foster and his incredible final year in 4-H with “Happy”—a standout steer with a standout story. What a powerful way to close this chapter!

From the ring to the backdrop, Jackson showed true commitment, sportsmanship, and skill—and “Happy” rose to the occasion, even in the 95-degree heat. 👏

This steer was bred and sold through MJW Cattle & Beef Ventures and represented at the 2024 WV State Livestock Roundup.

Our mission is to be the trusted leader and voice for the beef industry in West Virginia.

We extend our appreciation to outgoing board members Josh Radabaugh, Erin Glasscock, and Todd Bolyard for their service and contributions. We also welcome new board members Eric Cunningham, Derek Cumpston, and Roy Milleson, who begin their two-year term.

From livestock judging to getting involved in my community to attending informative conferences, 2024 was an incredible year! I am so thankful to our partners, purchasers, supporters and friends. This year wouldn’t have been half as wonderful without your support, so I want to extend my sincere thanks! As we move into the new year, I want to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and wonderful 2025!

We have some exciting news for our current purchasers and future buyers! We are offering embryos for sale just in time for Christmas! This spectacular mating is by the same maternal dam as the Overall Grand Champion Steer at the WV 2024 Livestock Roundup and Overall Reserve Champion Steer at the 2023 WV State Livestock Roundup! Thank you to the 82nd Annual Preston County Buckwheat Festival for having me out! I really enjoyed judging the cattle breeding and showmanship. I’m also grateful to have attended the Annual Harrison County Farm Bureau Meeting where I presented about why beef is the best protein! These past few weeks have been truly incredible, and I am so grateful to all the organizations for their contributions to agriculture, education and youth development.

We had an amazing time at the WV State Livestock Roundup Sale. It was a huge success! 🎉 Thank you so much to the bidders, buyers and our crew who helped make this sale so special. 🥰 We also want to give our many thanks to WVU Extension, WV State Livestock Roundup Committee, the board of directors and volunteers for coordinating a successful event! ✨ We look forward to keeping in touch with the new owners of our calves and seeing their success this upcoming show season. We hope to see you next year!
