One of the best parts of living in Fredericksburg is getting to learn from families who have helped shape this community for generations.

Today, I had the privilege of walking the orchard with Dianne Eckhardt, granddaughter of Otto Eckhardt, who started the family orchard. šŸ‘ They have been ā€œharvesting fresh & localā€ since 1936! The history, farming knowledge, and dedication of the Eckhardt family are truly inspiring. Theyā€™re also some of the kindest people youā€™ll meet.

Support your local growers! I came home with fresh tomatoes, sweet onions, and peach jam today. šŸ¤©
