Hoisington senior Mason Martin is off to a huge start for the Cardinals, opening the season with back-to-back 27-point performances in a 2-0 week. On Friday, Martin powered Hoisington past No. 8 Scott City in 3A with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists as the Cardinals rallied from a 7-point halftime deficit to win 62-57. He followed it up Monday at the Keady Classic with another 27-point outing, adding 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in a win over Bucklin. A strong start for the Cardinal senior who averaged 16.5 points per game last year.
