Back in 2021, I had zero knowledge about Klaviyo, eCommerce, or flows.

Just a Google Doc, a deadline, and a dream to write good copy for online businesses.

I started out writing emails and sales pages for coaches, real estate mentors, salon owners, personal development coaches…

…just trying to find my place in the freelance world.

But when I discovered email marketing for DTC brands, everything clicked.

Since then, I’ve written and automated thousands of emails (literally) - and helped brands drive 25–30%+ of their revenue just through flows.

From abandoned carts to post-purchase magic…

from deliverability nightmares to clean, converting welcome sequences… 👻

I’ve been in the inbox trenches for years now. 📥📨

And the crazy part?

It all started with a question:
What is Email Marketing?

So what’s next?

More writing.
More testing.
More unlearning.
More building.
And a deeper love for systems, strategy, and storytelling.

Is Klaviyo finally getting some real competition? 👀

Okay, hear me out. Yotpo just dropped a partnership with Black Crow AI, and it’s kinda wild. 🔥

Here’s the gist:

- Basically, they’ve figured out how to track people better (in a non-creepy way) so brands can recover more abandoned carts. 🛒

- Smarter tools to grow email and SMS subscribers way faster. 📈

And guess what?

It’s FREE if you’re a Yotpo Email or SMS user. 🎉

Now, I know Klaviyo’s been doing this stuff for a while, but Yotpo just leveled up in a big way.

The gap is definitely shrinking. 👑

Early beta results are pretty insane:

- 180% more abandoned carts triggered (that’s a LOT of revenue). 💰
- 37% more SMS subscribers. 📲
- 35% more email subscribers. ✉️

The importance of speed in your business and how you can shorten the ‘time-to-value’ for your clients to see results.

To explain this, here's a quick story about a company we all know: McDonald’s.

The founders of the first McDonald’s restaurant revealed what made it so successful in 1955.

From the film ‘The Founder’ (2016), which tells the origin story of McDonald’s

Just to give you an idea: hundreds of people would line up every day, Monday to Sunday, just to get their hands on a hamburger.

What did they do to make it happen?

Was it the quality of the food?

Nope, you could get a good burger from several fast-food joints nearby.

Maybe it was their low price?

Not really…

other fast-food restaurants were offering similar prices.

So why did men, women, and children from all over California queue outside McDonald’s instead of other fast food joints…?

The reason was simple.

Food could be made in 30 seconds, rather than 30 minutes.

Dick McDonald, the co-founder of the first McDonald’s restaurant, understood that people wanted things fast, so he created the Speedee Service System.

A system that would deliver food to customers within 30 seconds of ordering - something that was revolutionary at the time.

In fact, there’s a really great scene in the movie in which Dick and his brother, Mac, draw the layout of McDonald’s kitchen onto a tennis court using chalk.

They then test every possible way to perfect the Speedee system to allow their chefs to take a random selection of ingredients and turn them into the perfect hamburger.

I think it would be fair to say that Dick and Mac were true systems thinkers.

The huge lesson here is that...

People value speed.

Think about it, how many companies do you know that base their service on speed?

Netflix gives you instant movies.

Amazon gives you same-day deliveries.

Domino's delivers your pizza in 30 minutes or it’s free.

All the best businesses understand that speed is king...
