"It’s just clicking a button."
"I’ll just buy a camera and do it myself."
If you’re a photographer, you’ve probably heard this before. I know I did.
And every time, I just smiled—because we both know photography is so much more than pressing a button.
It’s the hours of planning before a shoot. It’s guiding your clients so they feel comfortable. It’s knowing the perfect lighting, composition, and angles. It’s the magic that happens in the editing process. And the difference? It shows.
Funny enough, now that I’m a Social Media Manager, I hear the same thing.
“It’s just posting content.”
But just like photography, there’s a strategy behind every post that actually gets results.
It’s understanding what makes people stop scrolling. It’s crafting captions that connect. It’s knowing when to post, how to engage, and how to turn followers into actual clients.
Because anyone can post, just like anyone can take a picture. But when there’s skill, intention, and strategy behind it? The results speak for themselves.
