It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Breast cancer is a dreadful disease. In 2002, I recovered easily and kept things moving. This year through a self-exam, I found another lump. After nearly four months of exams, diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies and MRIs, I had major surgery on September 9th.
I'm recovering again, but with a different perspective. Thank God I'm alive and well, and again eager to keep things moving.
In honor of myself and the many women I encountered in the waiting room in white robes, with the anxious expressions and conversations, I am participating in the Susan B. Komen 2025 Walk, not walking this time, but sitting on the sidelines, cheering my team SWOOP to finish the walk..
I am asking you, my friends to please click on my link and donate to help keep this disease in the forefront so we can continue to fight.
