Job Description: Bindery Team Member
Paragraphics is currently looking to hire a motivated employee that can thrive in the many facets of our print and packaging manufacturing facility. This opportunity is for a day shift operator within our forming, folding, bindery department and is a full-time position with benefits. A qualified applicant will be a team player, quality-oriented, mechanically inclined, and have experience operating bindery equipment or like machinery.

Essential Job Functions:
· Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
· Demonstrate an understanding of our product quality standard, customer specifications and visual inspection requirements.
· Flexibility to operate and train on multiple machines within the bindery department, including:
Moll Folder Gluer, MBO Folder, In-Line Binder, Rosback Perforator, cylinder and rotary die cutters.
· Regularly conduct tests of the machine’s performance and operating capacity.
· Feed raw materials into semi-automated machines and help the assembly line.
· Produce assigned jobs efficiently and on schedule.
· Effectively communicate with plant manager and bindery supervisor.

Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Preferred, experience operating forming, gluing, folding, binding equipment in a commercial print and packaging operation.
-High attention to detail.
-Strong work ethic and quality-focused.
· A team player with a positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

Paragraphics is currently looking to hire a true industry professional pressman to run a 29” Heidelberg Speedmaster 5 Color Printing Press. This opportunity is for a day shift operator and is a full-time position with benefits. A qualified applicant will be quality-oriented and have experience operating 4+ color sheetfed presses. This position offers a competitive hourly rate with full benefits.

Essential Job Functions:
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate an understanding of our product quality standard, customer specifications, and visual inspection requirements.
• Performs routine adjustments during the press run and maintains quality throughout the job.
• Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
• Ability to use color measuring instruments for monitoring color.
• Measure and monitor ink viscosities and its effect on color.
• Produce assigned jobs efficiently and on schedule.
• Effectively communicate with the plant manager and team members.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 4 + years of experience operating a 4 Color offset press.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and quality focused.
• A team player with a positive attitude.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family of one of Cantons and our favorite eating spots. Great to see family owned and run businesses still in existence generation after generation.

Local restaurant owner Tony Varavvas died on Wednesday following a brief illness. He owned John’s Bar & Grille for 63 years.
