Today marks a decade of me doing self-employed things 😱

I had played my can-I-quit-my-job-even-though-I-don't-have-the-next-thing-lined-up card, and (long story short) these are the women who took a chance on me.

Rais Case hired me as a very over-qualified intern and trusted me with so much. I worked in the shop. I sewed baby moccasins, scarves, and stockings to sell. I did leather work. Hosted workshops...it was awesome!

And when her friend Tam said she needed help with stuff around her flower studio, Julie shared my name. I met with Tam and her team—and it turned out the stuff was marketing and PR. And she hired me to take charge of that for Isari Flower Studio.

Fast forward and it's because of these two women saying yes to a girl who wanted to be a college professor and had a Master's in Sociology that I am where I am today. They are the first dominoes in my self-employed, entrepreneurial adventure and I will be forever thankful.

So happy 10th business birthday to TAYLRD 🎉 And I love this picture of Julie, Tam, and myself cuz it was taken just 2 weeks after TAYLRD was officially open for business ❤️
