1813 Hours

12000 Block West County Road 6

NBS Joint Fire District and EMS Station 5 were dispatched for a barn fire. Upon arrival flames were observed on the north side of the structure with heavy smoke blowing from the south end.

Carey Fire & Rescue and Bascom Joint Fire District were requested for mutual aide. SERT was requested for traffic control.

The fire was under control by 1745 hours. Overhaul continued until 2000 hours. NBS Fire was back in service at 2022 and equipment cleanup at the station was completed at 2045 hours.

19 NBS firefighters responded. Approximately 20,000 gallons of water was used. No injuries were reported.
