A great lesson learned about dealing with adversity have focusing on a singular goal!

Never quit!
This is Jim Thorpe. my daddy talked about him my entire life. He was the first native America to ever win gold in the Olympics. He went on to have a career in baseball and football.
Look closely at the photo, you can see that he's wearing different socks and shoes. This wasn't a fashion statement. It was the 1912 Olympics, and Jim, a Native American from Oklahoma represented the U.S. in track and field.

On the morning of his competitions, his shoes were stolen. Luckily, Jim ended up finding two shoes in a garbage can. That's the pair that he's wearing in the photo. But one of the shoes was too big, so he had to wear an extra sock. Wearing these shoes, Jim won two gold medals that day. This is a perfect reminder that you don't have to resign to the excuses that have held you back.

So what if life hasn't been fair? What are you going to do about it today? Whatever you woke up with this morning; stolen shoes, ill health, failed relationships, failed business, don't let it stop you from running your race. You can experience more in life if you'll get over the excuses and get on with living. You can have Excuses are you can have success...but you can't have both. God has a purpose and a plan for your life sometimes we don’t see it, sometimes it doesn’t follow the plan that we have, but never the less he is there and will turn all things for the good just call upon him.
Thanks to the mission church for this wonderful story

January is the perfect time to reset our priorities and start anew, especially after a year like the one that is (thankfully!) in our rear view mirror. And today, following a bit of well-deserved down time and reflection, we can apply the benefits of 2020 hindsight and survival skills we picked up a

With all of the challenges and darkness we faced last year, entrepreneurs came from every corn to light the way out, from new vaccines to see through maskshttps://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/shoes-accessories/face-masks-with-clear-window
How about these 12 year olds? wish I had thought about this idea, as our dog played ping pong with her tail and knocked over many an ornament on our Christmas tree. 2020 hindsight? Innovation is everywhere, and when you start small you can go big. More to come in '21!

Brothers Ayaan and Mickey Naqvi invented the genius Ornament Anchor—in a year, they’ve made 250k and donated 10% to animal shelters.

Putnam County pulling businesses together to meet the ongoing challenges brought about by the pandemic.
Proud to support this great example of a public and private sector partnership!

BREWSTER, NY— COVID vaccines are offering hope: an end is in sight for this very difficult and challenging year. But science alone will not address the hardships faced by so many. The local health and business community, along with Putnam residents, has been and continues to collaborate in a supre...
