Born with a passion for motorsports, Maurini has been involved in the karting industry since 1990 as a driver, team manager, national level tuner and now business owner. Developing a strong relationship with many industry leaders, Maurini and RTD are well respected throughout the world of motorsports. As a graduate of the Business Administrative Marketing program at the Durham College - University

of Ontario and with over twenty years of karting expertise, Maurini is helping out in all aspects of the sport. As a former driver himself, Maurini raced at the national level, securing the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) National #8 in the S2 division along with several regional victories and championships throughout the years. After retiring from driving duties to complete his school, Maurini then took a year long position as Director of Advertising for Shifter Kart Illustrated. Upon receiving his diploma in Business, Maurini sold advertising space, organized trade show appearances and provided marketing duties for one of the industry’s leading racing magazines, before joining the First Kart squad in June of 2004. Taking the reigns and heading up the marketing department, Maurini was looking to help strengthen the First Kart operation and the FirstKart.com race team. Since joining First Kart in 2004, Maurini put together a business plan to help boost company sales, increase profit and expand the FirstKart.com race team. In late 2004, the multi-talented Maurini advanced to the Director of Marketing position and took on the duties of Race Team Manager. As well as overseeing all the company's marketing, website and print advertisement, Maurini controlled the day-to-day duties of the race team. Looking for more responsibility and respect within the racing community, Maurini also managed a team of mechanics in tuning operations at the national level events and ensured the success of victory. Always working out the logistics, the well-respected industry member continued to manage all the team's travel throughout North America. In July of 2008, Maurini decided to go at the industry on his own and began the dream of Race Tech Development. With the goal of helping drivers progress through the sport at the highest level possible, Maurini turned his tuning skills and driver coaching to some of today’s youngest junior drivers. While working with teams and drivers is a passion of Maurini’s, he decided to branch out and help the promotion of these up and coming talents. Providing media releases, web design, media kits and representation in the world of motorsports to multiple drivers and teams, the media side of Race Tech Development began to grow. Working with several of today’s leading photographers, web designers, and top industry personal, RTDMedia provides high quality services at affordable prices.
