AI Is Changing Business. But Are We Asking the Right Questions?

There has been a lot of conversation lately about the risks surrounding artificial intelligence.

• Data privacy.
• Security.
• Incorrect information.
• Intellectual property.
• AI making decisions without enough human oversight.

These concerns shouldn't automatically stop businesses from using AI. They should change how we use it.

I believe businesses need to treat AI like any other powerful business tool. Give it rules, oversight and a purpose.

Before incorporating AI throughout your company, ask:

✔ What are we using AI for?
✔ What information are we sharing with it?
✔ Who verifies the answers?
✔ What requires human approval?
✔ Are employees trained to use it properly?
✔ Is AI actually helping us achieve measurable business goals?

AI can help a business research, analyze, communicate, market and operate more efficiently.

But the goal isn't to automate everything.

The goal is to use AI intelligently.

And while you're developing an AI strategy inside your business, don't forget what is happening outside it.

Customers are increasingly using AI-powered platforms to discover businesses, compare solutions and make decisions.

Your business needs to be ready for both sides of AI:

Using AI responsibly AND being visible to AI.

Have you ever asked ChatGPT or another AI platform for businesses like yours and wondered why your company didn't appear?

Improving AI visibility starts with clarity.

Make sure your website clearly answers:

• What do you do?

• Who do you help?

• Where do you provide services?

• What problems do you solve?
