But consistency is something you just can't mess with when it comes to marketing. My best tip for staying the course while still balancing summer fun is:

👉 Identify the most important priorities and eliminate the rest. What are the must-dos and what can wait?

👉 Plan and strategize like your summer fun depends on it. Use those early mornings when your brain is sharpest to get more done in less time.

👉 Be present and enjoy those moments at the pool, nights sipping wine on the patio, and vacay planning.

Life is so much more than work. And there's room for both! What's your best tip for summertime balance?

Do you get overwhelmed by all the changing trends of social media? What works? What doesn’t?

Here’s some key things to remember regardless of trends.

👉 Identify your ideal customer and speak to them directly in all your messaging, regardless of format.

👉 Build a relationship, give lots of value and engagement, sprinkled in with the conversion asks.

👉 Know your numbers. Are you looking at insights on your platforms to see where there is growth? Checking your Google analytics to see where your web traffic is coming from?

👉 Share consistently. One of the biggest mistakes is being sporadic with posting. Instagram favors consistency in frequency and in content.

👉 And please build your email list and use it! It’s the only true database that you own.

When I hear people say they have gotten off social media because it makes them feel bad, I want to hug them and remind them… “You are in control of what you see.”

I have unfollowed so many people who I still care about but I can’t see their posts. And I seek out content creators that teach me something, inspire me, make me laugh, and make me feel good. Social media can be a happy place if you make it so!

This is a tip for you personally and for your business. Support others, watch what YOU put out there, and consume social media that feels good to you.

Who’s the girl behind this business? Let me introduce myself and hopefully we can be friends. My name is Angelyn. I just turned 50 years old, I am a single mom who is about to be an empty nester. I’ve worked for big corporations, small businesses, been an entrepreneur several times over. I’ve achieved incredible things that I’m so proud of and I’ve also failed miserably just as many times. But I’m a survivor and I 100% believe that things always work out for my good.

My career launched with big brands like the Walt Disney Company, Nordstrom, and the Four Seasons Hotels. But when my daughter started kindergarten, I left corporate to find a more flexible career path. I consulted, built a direct sales business, was a travel agent, and worked in online marketing. Whatever I needed to do to pay the bills and also be flexible to take her to dance class.

In 2018, I jumped back into the traditional workforce with a local publishing company and digital agency where I got a crash course in ad sales, marketing, audience development, social media and plenty of writing. Like many, the pandemic was hard on our business and in early 2022, I was laid off as the company downsized to survive.

I originally started Courage & Grit Creative with a partner but ultimately, she decided that entrepreneurship was not for her. So I carried on solo, focusing on the areas that I know I can serve my market well - organic social media, Facebook ads, and all kinds of copywriting projects.

My first year in the business was an exciting ride, working with big client campaigns such as a rebranding package for Rodan & Fields, the launch of GXVE Beauty with Gwen Stefani, the launch of Sanctum Med & Wellness in Dallas, and several local small businesses who needed a pro to take over their social media.

I love working with entrepreneurs who have started their own business mid-life and may not have the expertise to navigate social media. I feel ya! And I’d love to be your partner as you grow your biz too. 🙌🏼
