“No matter how prepared you think you are for death of a loved one, it still comes as a shock, and it still hurts very deeply.” — Billy Graham
It is with heavy, yet hopeful hearts that we announce the passing of our friend, mentor, and the founder of The Master’s Press, Charlene Sims.
One could not meet Charlene without knowing that she had a heart and fervent passion for the Lord. Even from an early age, that passion was a driving force in all that she did. From the founding of The Master’s Press in her 20s, to her post-retirement involvement with Regenerating Life Ministries through the Forgiving Forward program, Charlene approached everything she did as an opportunity to serve the Lord. Even during the tribulations of her battle with a rare and aggressive cancer diagnosis, she always made a point to encourage all those around her, and to tell them about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Even when it became apparent that she would not be delivered from her illness and that her time with us here was nearing an end, her faith never waivered. Both she and her husband, Steve, enjoyed a sense of peace that defies human understanding as a result of that shared faith.
Charlene passed away peacefully in her home this morning with Steve at her side.
There is nothing in this world that she would want more than everyone would enjoy the same salvation and confidence in their own eternity through the Lord Jesus Christ.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” — A.A. Milne
How lucky, indeed for all of us blessed to have known her.

It is a tremendous insight into her humanity and faith, and a great encouragement for us all.
