There’s something that happens when you take kids out of the classroom and put them in the world.
Our 6th graders just got back from NorthBay on the Chesapeake Bay — three days of real, hands-on science. They studied moss, wetlands, fungi, biodiversity, vultures, and deer right in the environments where those things actually live. No textbook, just nature.
And in between were rope courses, zip lines, and weather that could not make up its mind — 78 degrees one day, snow the next.
They just kept going. This is a St. Mark 6th grader. We could not be more proud of every single one of them. 🦁
