In honor of returning to Earth today, we thought we'd share our own moon experience. 🌕️ 🚀 🥹
Pre-COVID we were tasked with creating a video for the theater department documenting their three-episode, 360 degree theater experience, "To Touch the Moon." It was a massive undertaking, and one of the most special, spectacular projects of all time.
A little about the project...
What is it like to discover something new? How does it feel to interact with it for the very first time? Those were the questions The University of Northern Iowa’s Theater Program set out to answer with, “To Touch the Moon.” This documentary followed the development, creation, and production of a one-of-a-kind, fully interactive play designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the play blended drama and science in three “episodes.” There was no script--only what creator Gretta Berghammer described as a “story spine.” The actors and the audience participants created the story as they explored the set and scenes.

To astronauts Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Jeremy Hansen, and Victor Glover thank you for your perseverance, bravery, fortitude, and integrity. But most of all, your humanity.
