We CAN'T believe it's been a year since our FIRST PRIDE EVER! Iowa City Pride has SUCH a huge sentimental value to us that we have to skip this weeks Farmer's Market downtown so we can bask in the love of Pride Fest 2026 this Saturday!
This past year has been SO amazing and we know you folks/folx played a HUGE role in that. Thank you, you beautiful people, for the way you've welcomed us, supported us & made us whole...we LOVE you all! Janie & Lisa

We had an AMAZING weekend at NewBo City Market. We sold (at a discount) or donated about 150 veggie plants & raised $120 for Iowa Trans Mutual Aid Fund!

We also had some lovely people pay extra for their veggies & we received a generous gift card ❤️ for Uptown Coffee (right inside NewBo) AND Madam Chef herself from Madam Chef Delicacy made us a beautiful vegetarian dinner for some veggies so she can provide the freshest food for you!

The vibe was beautiful & the hugs were snug. Love you folks/folx SO much!

We’re posting SO late today, we’ve been swamped since we started setting up at NewBo City Market! Lots of veggies left “pay what you can” today until 4 & tomorrow 10-3:00!

We're doing it again this Sunday 10-2:00! Bring your plant in for a re-pot & a little re-potting lesson (if you'd like) & we will wave the fee & soil costs! In the spirit of Pride Month, we will gladly accept donations for Iowa Trans Mutual Aid Fund! Last week we raised $75 on a rainy Sunday with a marathon downtown...We hope to double that this weekend!

"Pay what you can" veggie plants (heirloom tomato and peppers) at NewBo City Market this Saturday & Sunday! We won't ask for money & will get SO much joy if we can give some of these away to someone in need! Charities, churches & generous community gardens are welcome to grab extra!

“Pay what you can” Vegetable Plant Stand!!! This weekend only NewBo City Market.

We sell a wide variety of heirloom, tomatoes, and peppers… there’s still plenty of time to plant them & we want them to go to a good home.

We sell these for $6e or 5/$25 and have sold hundreds this season so we’re offering them for free if you need. They’re big, beautiful, well started, hardened plants that’ll produce some amazing heirloom tomatoes, and peppers this summer and fall.

If you know, someone in need with room to grow or a charity that will plant or distribute these please send them our way!
