DANGEROUS TIKTOK CHALLENGE GETS AUTHORITIES INVOLVED ACROSS THE U.S!

Recently, there was an incident that came about on social media that had parents and authorities on edge. Apparently there has been a viral trend on the app TikTok, encouraging students to participate in school shootings across the U.S. Although there were no specific schools targeted, parents, police and school faculties were doing all they could to prevent any dangers in case students decided to go through with the planned challenge. The date for this challenge was set for December 17th, but luckily there were no students injured during this sick social media game. However, it was stated that there was a close call with a young 16 year old male from Florida. While Authorities were checking the school, lockers, book bags etc., they came across a student at South Florida Highschool with a small suspicious bag that evidently contained a loaded firearm on campus. The Situation was immediately handled and the 16 year old male was arrested on school grounds.

THREATS OVER SOCIAL MEDIA CAUSE HIGHSCHOOL CLASSES TO BE CANCELLED!

Recently, a highschool in Colorado, Vista Ridge High school, had to cancel morning classes due to an extreme situation that came about on social media. There were apparently issues between students online that extended to the students on campus causing them to act out. The police had to get envolved due to the violence and threats through social media, as well as on school grounds. In order to properly deal with the situation the school cancelled Monday classes to make sure the school didn’t become a target for this issue to extend to. Parents were notified about the classes and were told the reason was due to the potentially unsafe environment for all students. It was stated the classes would remain unavailable to students as long as the police are investigating.

IRAN GOVERNMENT MAY ADD MORE CENSORSHIP TO SOCIAL MEDIA!

Iran has had a few issues in the past with its government banning and creating censorship rules for social media for the entire country. As of last week, there was a discussion on whether the government will continue to add restrictions to apps such as Instagram, and this has the citizens of Iran on edge. The year of 2021 has become so evolved and adapted to the Internet, to the point were almost all business and communication is done through social media, which is why the citizens are getting riled up. There are many Iranians with growing businesses on social media in order to gain customers and recognition outside of Iran. These possible new restrictions could slow down many businesses and possibly even ruin a few of them. The people of Iran are on the edge of their seats waiting to either receive a new bill where there are more restrictions or to let the situation die over. There has yet to be any announcements whether or not they’ll follow through with the censorship, but it was clarified that the bill has already been put into effect.

NIGERIAN INSTAGRAM INFLUENCER FACES 20 YEARS IN PRISON FOR FRAUD!

When we think of one’s rise to fame coming from the use of social media platforms, we often think of them as Instagram models, influencers, musicians and more to explain how they got where they are. The things we don’t think of are, these people are rising to fame and fortune by doing things that could cost them their freedom. Ramon Abbas, A.K.A Hushpuppi, Is a 37-year-old Influencer from Nigeria who has become a sensation on the social media app Instagram, known for showing off his expensive lifestyle. Unfortunately, Ramon has been connected to quite a few illegal dealings involving money laundering, online scheming and fraud. He admitted to being a part of these accused crimes that have affected multiple banks around the world which caused their businesses to lose millions. Ramon Was raided in Dubai were they found multiple pieces of evidence connecting him to all the crimes and more, plus they found nearly half of $100 million in cash stashed away in his apartment. On social media he was telling followers how his money was from real estate business so nobody would be suspicious on how lavish and luxurious his lifestyle seemed, which has now caused him to have to spend the next 20 years in prison.

TIKTOKER “XIAO QIUMEI” FALLS 160 FT OFF OF CRANE!

It was recently reported that Xiao Qiumei, a 23 year old female from China, fell to her death while trying to create content for social media. Xiao was widely known on TikTok and had built quite the fan base for herself and decided to use her working time to create more content for the viewers. Right before the incident, Xiao was apparently working on the construction site when she decided to stop and climb 160 feet on a crane she was supposed to be operating. This of course wasn’t the greatest or safest idea but she needed something new for her TikTok page and went for it. Unfortunately, during her climb she happened to take a misstep which ultimately led to her falling off the crane, while the camera was still rolling. The video only shows 160 ft of structure being passed as the fall continues. Sad to say, the TikTok Influencer did not survive the fall and had to leave behind her family along with her two small children.

TIKTOK BECOMING ALMOST AS FAMOUS AS FACEBOOK APPS!

The famous social media app, TiTok, has officially become the first app to reach the most downloads outside of the Facebook apps. The TikTok app reached 3 billion downloads even after some obstacles, bans, and new rules being brought in for the app. With the app being banned in India this past year, including being taken off the App Store for the entire country, it caused a severe drop in numbers by 38% in downloads. Besides the huge decrease, the app was able to make up for the drought in other departments of the app. The percentage in spending money for the app leveled up significantly, almost making up for the previous decrease, which left the numbers at a 75% increase. The increase helped the app get back on its feet for loosing a country’s worth of downloads and spendings, which also put it in second place to Facebook and it’s sister apps such as Instagram and messenger.

TIKTOK CHALLENGE CAUSES FREAK ACCIDENT WITH 9-YEAR-OLD BOY!

On Friday, June 18th, there was a deadly incident regarding a 9 year old boy, due to social media influence. LaTerius Smith Jr. was believed to be participating in a TikTok challenge called the “Blackout challenge”, when things started going left and was unfortunately found in the comfort of his own bedroom unresponsive. Details stated the boy was found unconscious with a belt wrapped around his neck which he put there while trying out the viral TikTok challenge. The “Blackout Challenge” has been seen all over social media, showing young kids to fully grown adults how to strangle oneself but the trick is to escape the grip of the belt or rope before it becomes a serious issue, but things did not go as planned. The 9 year olds family member, Barbra Williams, decided to share some words to all parents/guardians with little kids, letting them know they should always keep an eye on their children to avoid such tragedies. Since the freak accident social media app TikTok has banned any daring or possibly harmful content to avoid further incidents due to the outrageous things that are posted online.

VIETNAM INTRODUCES NEW SOCIAL MEDIA FORMALITIES!

The Vietnamese socialists function does not accept any social media criticism and often do what they can to prevent it. This is why Vietnam recently announced new rules for the nation on how to productively use their social media accounts for positivity. The Vietnam superiors nudges their people to use social media to post about the good in Southeast Asia, such as their people and the gorgeous surroundings. It has even become mandatory for state employees to bring it to the attention of someone in charge if there is anything that may seem problematic in any way. They beleive that spreading the positive word about their home will help them connect with their origins by noticing the beauty in their culture.

INSTAGRAM TELLS USERS TO NOT POST TIKTOKS ON REELS!

Instagram has recently announced that it will no longer be allowing promotions for TikTok videos. Instagram has also suggested that the app users no longer take videos from TikTok to repost on Instagram “Reels”. Users are now posting original TikTok videos on both platforms, which has been making it difficult for the original content creators to be discovered. As well, it gives TikTok more recognition as people are downloading the app due to endless TikTok videos being promoted through Instagram, which causes more competition between the two popular apps.

NIKITA DRAGUN RECEIVES NEGATIVE FEEDBACK AFTER MASKLESS BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Famous youtuber, Nikita Dragun, has been shamed multiple times in the past for attending or throwing massive parties during the coronavirus pandemic. Recently, Nikita threw yet another party for her 25th birthday, inviting over a dozen people and many of her fans were not happy with her. It was shown in many pictures she posted on her instagram, that not one person was wearing a mask for protection of spreading the virus. Many fans left a handful of comments under her posts saying she wasn’t being cautious and stating this was nearly her 5th time joining a party, meanwhile, many have been forced to spend their birthdays on lockdown. Nikita then replied stating that all friends who attended the party were in fact tested for the covid-19 virus upon arrival.

TIKTOK BAN IN INDIA CAUSES STAFF SHORTAGES!

During the year 2020, India faced a ban all over the country for the social media app, TikTok. This ban has since affected the staff, which has caused a huge shortage of the app workers. Apparently, TikTok has the majority of its downloads coming from India, after the country was involved in prejudicial actions on the app, TikTok was no longer accessible. The spokesperson for the app explained during an interview that this was occurring due to the lack of feedback from the government, which now causes India to suffer multiple job losses. Although, they were not clear on how many of these staff workers got to keep their jobs.

YOUTUBER'S BANNED FOR ENCOURAGING HACKING TECHNIQUES!

Earlier this year, a few Youtube accounts were on a temporary lockdown due to the channel's encouraging and promoting hacking techniques for the famous Pokemon game. This soon came back to haunt the Youtuber's, and now Twitch creators, who continued to use and encourage these inappropriate techniques while broadcasting it on their social media platforms. Multiple accounts were not just put on a brief time out, this time, accounts were shut down completely and unable to be reconnected. Joe Merrick then followed up with a tweet explaining that if player's are receiving new Pokemon characters, they should be very careful, and told hackers that will be 100% banned if they continue to illegally create additions to the game.
