A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to be part of the OKC Indigenous Fashion Show — and it was such a powerful experience.

I went to serve as a makeup artist (MUA), and IPS Graphix (photos by Jose Loyola) was also in charge of photography. Being able to contribute creatively in multiple ways made the weekend even more special.

Growing up, I read so many fashion magazines. I remember wishing I could see more Native representation in fashion — more Native designers, models, makeup artists, and creatives. To now be in rooms filled with Native everything… it’s honestly something younger me would be so proud of.

Over the past decade, Native fashion has become an incredible outlet for Indigenous creatives. It’s not just fashion — it’s storytelling, identity, and opportunity.

My cousin Courtney Littleaxe designer of Altrn8v Atrn8v, and I started with just a logo back in 2022. We were both just getting started. Fast forward to 2026, and everything looks different. Growth looks different. Opportunity looks different.

What makes me most proud is that we’re not just building for ourselves anymore — we’re helping create space for other Indigenous creatives too.

That weekend was a reminder of how far we’ve come… and what’s still ahead.

We’ve all felt that crushing weight—the long hours that leave us feeling hollow rather than whole. That is the heavy tax of stress, paid when we labor for a "why" that doesn't resonate with our souls.

But there is a transformative shift that happens when your "why" aligns with your "work." Suddenly, the late nights don't feel like a burden; they feel like a contribution. The grit becomes fuel. This is passion.

Don’t just aim for a paycheck; aim for a purpose. When you love the mission, the hard work becomes the reward.

💿 Y2K Business Card Design 💅🏽✨

I had so much fun creating this Y2K-inspired business card for a nail tech artist () . The pixel hearts, glossy pinks, chrome vibes — it took me straight back to the early 2000s.

But beyond the nostalgia, this is what I love about branding:

Your business materials should match your energy.

If you’re a beauty professional, nail tech, esthetician, or small business owner in Northwest Arkansas — your branding shouldn’t feel generic. It should feel like YOU.

If you’re digging the Y2K vibe (or have a completely different aesthetic in mind), let’s build something intentional.

A lot of businesses aren’t struggling because they aren’t trying hard enough — they’re struggling because their branding lacks clarity.

Inconsistent posting leads to burnout.

AI-generated content without direction makes brands blend together.

An unclear brand voice confuses people.
And when the branding is off, you start
Attracting the wrong audience.

Branding isn’t about doing more. It’s about being intentional.

Yesterday I attended the Latinas in Tech NWA . Was very insightful ! Actually met a influencer that has monetized off social me. It's been interesting learning social media over the past 3 years. When I started getting into Graphic Design I didn't realize I had to learn social media a lot more than I planned. I've had a love hate relationship with social media 🤣. I learned some tips and tricks though! #1 don't pay for ads 2 # organic growth #3 authenticity
