MORNING MANNA:

The sower sows the word. Mark 4:14, NKJV

Scripture tells us that the Word of God is like a seed. Just like planting a seed in the ground, when you “plant” the Word of God in your life, it will produce a harvest—the blessing and fruit of God’s promises!

How do you sow the Word? By simply putting it into practice. By obeying it and applying it to your everyday life. Those next few verses in Mark 4 tell us that the seed of the Word can be sown into different types of soil. The soil represents our heart condition. The key is to make sure that nothing steals the Word of God out of your heart. Don’t allow bitterness and offense to fester. Don’t compare and be envious of others. Instead, choose forgiveness and keep an open and humble heart toward the Lord. As you dwell on His Word and stay close to the Father through prayer and worship, that seed will take root. It will grow and develop and bring to pass the harvest of righteousness in every area of your life!

Father, thank You for the seed of the Word that will not return void in my life. I choose to open my heart to You and say, “Have Your way in me.” I choose love, I choose forgiveness, and I choose to surrender every part of my life to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

MORNING MANNA:

As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!
John 20:20, NLT

We all carry invisible scars that come from inner wounds—perhaps from a divorce, from what somebody did, from a mistake we made, from a loss. So often we try to hide our scars. They remind us of the hurt. But you can be at peace with your scars. Those scars are your testimony; they tell your story. Instead of being depressed over what you’ve been through, have a new perspective—the enemy tried to stop you, but God brought you through it, healed you, and you have a scar to prove it. The scars can remind you of His grace and power.

Jesus’ back was lashed with thirty-nine stripes and His hands and feet and side were pierced. When He rose from the dead, you would think He would be perfectly restored, but He still had scars. This was significant. God could have taken them away. Maybe, in part, it was to show us that it’s okay to have scars.

“Father, thank You that I worship a Savior who has scars. Since He has scars, I’m okay with my scars. I’m not going to live bitter because of a disappointment, or in regret over past mistakes, or go around sour because somebody did me wrong. I’m at peace with my scar. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

MORNING MANNA:

For God has said, "I will never, never fail you nor forsake you."
Hebrews 13:5, TLB

In today's Scripture, God put such an emphasis on His faithfulness because He knew how easy it is to give up on our dreams, to let our circumstances and how long it's been taking to talk us out of His best. You may be facing a situation that looks impossible today. The odds are against you, and you've had some setbacks. Let me encourage you, it's coming together. God is not going to fail you. The breakthrough is already in your future. Maybe you think you can never get out of debt, never live in a nice house, never be successful in your career. You've gone as far as your education allows. No, don't talk yourself out of it. Watch the words that are coming out of your mouth. It's coming together. Promotion, abundance, and new levels are headed your way.

When you go through the day with this expectancy, saying “I am out of debt , I am a home owner, I am successful and knowing that God's working behind the scenes bringing it together, that's what allows God to do great things. If you stay in faith, at the right time you will see it come together.

Father, thank You for Your faithfulness, for being my vindicator, and for fighting my battles for me. Thank You that You will never, never, never fail me nor abandon me. I believe that You're working behind the scenes on my most difficult situation, and that it's all coming together. In Jesus' Name, Amen

MORNING MANNA:

…to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
1 Timothy 6:17, NIV

Don’t miss a great season in your life wishing you had more, complaining about what you don’t have. The real joy in life is in the simple things—making memories with your family, riding your bikes together, watching the sunset with your spouse, or staring up at the stars at night. You don’t have to have big vacations or lots of money to have fun. Learn to enjoy the simple things in life.

Could it be that you’re at the right place for the season that you’re in, but you’re not enjoying it? Maybe if you would step back and see it from a new perspective, you would realize that God has you in the palms of His hands. He knows where you are, what you like, and what you don’t like. Instead of living discontented, frustrated, always wishing you were somewhere else, embrace the place where you are. See the good. Be grateful for what you have.

“Father, thank You for being the God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Help me find real joy in the beauty of this moment and in life’s simple things. I declare that I will embrace the place where I am and be grateful for what I have. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Faith for the Journey
3/14/24

Psalms 118:13 AMP
“You [my enemy] pushed me violently so that I was falling, But the Lord helped me.”
‭‭
“Fall on Grace”.

Life is filled with opportunities to mess up. We can sometimes end up in situations that require us to call out for the mercy of God. Satan is always present and ready to throw temptations and distractions in our path. As the scripture says, pushing us to fall, in hopes of getting us to throw in the towel and go in a direction contrary to the way God is calling us in. When Adam and Eve were created, they were formed as perfect beings without spot or blemish. They were the apple of God’s eye, placed in a garden palace with positions to reign and rule. Satan, who had been cast out of heaven, didn’t like that. He now had to bow to God’s new creation which he wasn’t about to concede to. Therefore, he had to get Adam and Eve to submit to him. When Adam and Eve went against God, they moved from a place where they had complete protection to a place where they now needed a covering. When they disobeyed God in the garden, their actions reached all the generations that followed after them. Satan is still alive and well today, seeking whom he may devour. We are the ones he seeks. The Bible says that we are more than conquerors. However, we sometimes get defeated. We are in a constant fight to maintain the victory we have been given over the enemy. God’s grace is more than enough to overcome anything we can ever do or go through . It is by grace we are saved, through faith. If you find yourself needing mercy, call to God and receive it. If you find that your fire has been put out, call to God and allow Him to reignite you. If it seems that you are in darkness and can’t find your way out, call on God and allow Him to light your path. If you find yourself falling, fall on grace. His grace is sufficient and saves every time!

Prayer: Father God I thank you for your grace and your mercy. I recognize that I have been made in Your image and Your likeness. Nevertheless, I sometimes feel defeated. Thank you for always reminding me that if I do fall, I can always fall on your grace. In Jesus’ name… AMEN!

Good morning!

MORNING MANNA:

Love...keeps no record of being wronged.
1 Corinthians 13:4–5, NLT

"No Record"

You might see your relationship with someone go to a whole new level if you just get rid of the record book. Some people have a mental list of everything anybody has done wrong to them for the last twenty years. They have a detailed scorecard, listing every time their spouse hurt them, every time their boss was thoughtless or rude, every time their parents missed a grandchild’s game.

As long as you are bringing up pain from the past, you are going to have strife in your present. You may be right about what happened, but do you want to be right, or do you want to have peace in a relationship? Do you want to have your way, or do you want to have a healthy relationship? Instead of keeping a list of slights or offenses, it could change your life greatly if you get in the habit of throwing out your negative record book. Learn to cover the weaknesses in the people who are close to you and focus on the good. Believe the best in people and move on.

“Father, thank You for loving me, for forgiving me, and for not keeping a record of my sins and failures. I want to be someone who loves others with Your love, who covers their faults and weaknesses and doesn’t bring them up. Help me to focus on the good and keep moving on. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
