PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that the shelters in GA are so far beyond capacity and have been that way for a year. Dogs at both Dekalb and Fulton shelters are 3-4 in each kennel and stacked in crates in the hallway. Many have been there for close to a year and time is up for 150 of them tomorrow. If you are looking for a dog, please consider adopting from one of the Lifeline shelters. If you adopt a dog from there this week, ALR will pay for you and your dog to attend a group training class with Ranger Dog Training. Just email us at [email protected] with a picture of your new dog and your adoption paperwork and we will get you signed up.

Adopted!

🐾 Available for adoption 🐾

Callie is 10 weeks old, 15 lbs mixed breed pup. We were told Callie's litter is Labrador Retriever mix, but we see hound in some of the siblings. Considering her current size, Callie will be a medium size dog (35-50lbs). Callie is a big sweetheart and loves to sprawl out on her back for quick cat naps. She is well-rounded, spending her time in foster care with young children and dogs big and small. Her foster family is leash training and Callie is working on the "sit" command. She sleeps in her crate overnight but still requires to be let out after about 5-6 hours. Callie is not house trained but improves everyday with routine and frequent outings. Fenced yard required for off leash playtime.

Meet Siber (aka Siberia) 😍😍😍
From her foster dads: "This beautiful three year old (and 44 lbs) is super chill at home and likes being close to people. She sometimes gets zoomies after we get home and let her out of her crate. She is 100% housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go out. She has little interest in toys or chews, but wants regular attention from humans.

"Siber loves meeting new people. And she's a quick learner: She was allowed on furniture in a previous home, but she quickly learned we don’t allow it. If you do allow her on furniture, we are confident she will be your couch buddy. While she is a quiet dog, she tries to communicate more than any other dog we have had. This is typically done with squeaks or yawn whines to let you know she needs to go out or is ready for a walk.

"She is playful, loves to stretch, and does wiggles on her back several times a day, which often means she wants her belly rubbed. She knows sit, stay, down, drop. She's great in the car. Zero reaction to thunder.

"She loves walks and typically goes 3 - 4 miles per day. She will let you know that it’s “time,” as she loves a routine. She gets excited if she sees a squirrel, but responds to 'no.'

"Siber is spayed, vaccinated & microchipped. She is adoptable from Fulton County Animal Services in Atlanta. To meet her, hit the Adopt Me button under her Siberia profile to get in touch with her foster dads. This is NOT a commitment to adopt, just expresses your interest. https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/e615f1be-7ede-473c-a47c-18e43ffc46c4
