VINTAGE BOBBINS?! TAKE MY MONEY!

I stopped by The Jaded Finch to check out their Christmas displays and somehow stumbled upon the ultimate vintage find for an embroiderer!

Tucked away in a corner were these gorgeous vintage bobbins wrapped in thread, and there was absolutely NO WAY I was leaving without them.

And the bowl they were displayed in? Wasn’t even for sale. But somehow that came home with me too.

That’s what I love about The Jaded Finch! Such a fun mix of vintage treasures and unique new finds. You seriously never know what you’ll discover.

Now I’m just picturing a cute little corner in there with an embroidery machine… 👀

What do we think? Should we make that happen?

Between loading, unloading, setting up, and breaking down for live embroidery events, I’m pretty sure I’ve accidentally signed up for a full-body workout.

The machines are heavy. The events are worth it. My back has some opinions.

RIP to the piece of chicken that didn’t survive the post-event crash. 🪦🐔

Another successful live embroidery activation in the books, and I’m officially running on fumes, a half-eaten salad, and whatever adrenaline I have left.

The guests had a great time. The machines did their thing. And my boss has me scheduled for another event tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I am the boss. 💀

Anyone else in the events industry experience this post-event crash, or is it just me?

RIP to the ONE bandana that didn’t make it. ☠️

Five embroidery machines. A full production team. Hundreds of bandanas. Three hours of absolute organized chaos.

And somehow, only ONE bandana casualty.

I’d call that a pretty successful live embroidery activation. 👏

Not me getting to play a tiny part in someone’s “Will you be my bridesmaid?” moment.

These embroidered Lands’ End totes were how one bride asked her girls to stand by her side, and honestly, I love getting to be involved in stuff like this.

Cute bags, cute idea, and another reminder that I have a pretty fun job.

They’re getting people to stay longer.

Think about it. When guests can choose something personal, watch it being made, and take it home, they’re no longer just attending an event. They’re participating in it.

And for retail brands? That extra time creates more opportunities to explore, connect, and shop.
