From the course to the finish line — what a day at the UC Marathon! 🏃‍♂️

We were proud to cheer on our very own extended 3PS family as Jordan Ferrell’s husband, Cody, hit the pavement and crushed the marathon — all while rocking his 3PS-sponsored race kit. 💪

It was great to see so many runners, supporters, and community partners come together in Charleston, and to connect with everyone who stopped by our 3PS + Vandalia Digital booth at Slack Plaza.

Big congratulations to Cody and all the runners who made it across that finish line — you inspire us! 👏

Proud to support the UC Marathon as a community sponsor! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Best of luck to all the runners hitting the course tomorrow—we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!

Be sure to stop by and say hello at the 3PS booth at Slack Plaza after you cross the finish line. We’d love to celebrate with you! 🎉

We’re proud to celebrate our client, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and the successful passage of Digital Uniform Negotiable Assets (DUNA) legislation in West Virginia.

DUNA establishes a clear legal framework for digital assets—helping ensure they can be securely owned, transferred, and recognized under commercial law. With its passage, West Virginia becomes just the third state in the nation to enact this forward-looking policy.

We’re honored to have played a role in helping advance this effort and support innovation-focused policy in the state.

Thank you to Patrick Morrisey and the State of West Virginia for their leadership, along with House Judiciary Chairman JB Akers, Delegate Tristan Leavitt, Senate Majority Leader Patrick Martin, and Assistant Senate Majority Leader Patricia Rucker for their work in getting this across the finish line.

At 3PS, we’re proud to partner with forward-thinking clients like a16z to help shape policy that supports innovation and economic growth.

Strong women. Strong leadership. Strong West Virginia.

Jordan Ferrell and Whitney Wetzel had a great time attending the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Summit at The Greenbrier this week—connecting with inspiring leaders and gaining valuable insights to bring back to our clients and community.

Grateful to be part of conversations that continue to move our state forward!

We were proud to support our client, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), at the Capitol this week as they testified before the House Judiciary Committee on legislation addressing decentralized nonprofit associations and emerging governance structures.

Alongside bill sponsor Delegate Tristan Leavitt, a16z engaged lawmakers on forward-thinking policy that positions West Virginia to be competitive in evolving digital and economic landscapes.

Exciting conversations about the future of governance, technology, and opportunity in our state. 🚀

This is what advocacy looks like. 💪 We’re proud to support the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority as they work to advance policies that strengthen workforce participation, support working families, and drive economic growth in our region. Great work, Jozy and the NRGRDA team. 👏

Wondering what NRGRDA is up to during legislative session?

Today, our Policy & Government Outreach Coordinator, Jozy Moore, was at the Capitol advocating for two important bills that connect childcare and economic development in a BIG way: HB 4517 and SB 646.

These bills strengthen West Virginia’s Employer-Provided Child Care Tax Credit by making it more flexible and usable for small businesses, rural employers, and shared childcare models. The improvements:

✔️ Clearly define employer-sponsored childcare
✔️ Remove restrictive location requirements
✔️ Allow multi-employer partnerships
✔️ Extend the tax credit carryforward period to better align with federal law

In short: they make it easier for businesses to invest in childcare solutions that support workforce participation, employee retention, and economic growth .

We’re excited to share that SB 646, sponsored by Senator Vince Deeds, passed the Senate Economic Development Committee today, and HB 4517, sponsored by Delegate Brooks and co-sponsored by Delegate Pritt, is moving on to markup and passage in the House Health & Human Resources Committee.

Childcare IS economic development. When employers can support working families, businesses grow, communities thrive, and our region becomes more competitive.

Thank you to Senator Deeds, Delegate Brooks, Delegate Pritt, committee members, and all our partners who are helping move this forward. Great work from Jozy and our government relations team at 3PS!

We’re not just watching session — we’re working it.

Proud to support the West Virginia Child Advocacy Network and their ongoing work to strengthen and advocate for child advocacy centers across our state.

This week’s conversations at the Capitol are a great reminder of what’s possible when dedicated advocates and thoughtful policymakers come together on behalf of West Virginia’s most vulnerable children. We’re grateful to stand alongside our clients as they build relationships, elevate critical issues, and push meaningful work forward. 💙

Great day to support our client, TC Energy, at the Capitol today during Gas & Oil Day, and the broader energy industry that helps power West Virginia’s economy. Always a valuable opportunity to engage with lawmakers, partners, and stakeholders about the role energy infrastructure plays in our state’s future.

We were proud to support the University of Charleston—a member institution of WVICU, an association 3PS manages and represents—during their engagement with the House Higher Education Subcommittee.

Our team helped connect UC with legislators and supported them throughout the day as they shared their story and the challenges facing higher education in West Virginia.

This is what advocacy looks like: making sure our clients and partners have a seat at the table and a voice in the conversation. 👏

At 3PS, we believe in giving back to the profession — and Jordan Ferrell does exactly that. Congratulations to Jordan on completing her term on the PRSA East Central District Board. Her leadership, dedication, and steady hand in communications made a meaningful difference. Proud of you, Jordan!

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥! 👏🏻

As we wind down 2025, we say goodbye to the last (but not least) of four incredible PR practitioners rolling off of the PRSA-ECD board - Jordan Ferrell!

A member of PRSA West Virginia Chapter, Jordan joined the ECD board in 2023 and served on the ECD Conference Committee and as Communications Co-Chair, overseeing the ECD newsletter - no small feat!

Jordan, thank you for all of your contributions to PRSA-ECD!
