A small act of could mean a great deal of joy!

Golden Girl is a group home for teenage girls who have been abused, neglected, orphaned or for another reason can’t live in their natural home. They strive to make their homes family-like and consists of five separate houses in the small town of Ceredo, .

With the help of generous donors, they are working to provide action-packed Summer Fun activities to these golden girls!

Featuring themed package levels, like our "Fishin' Girl" package which includes a fishing pole, bait and a tackle box, and sunscreen, or our "Sleepy Girl" package that covers a sleeping bag, air mattress, flashlights, and bug spray-- your donations will go to helping create an unforgettable summer filled with outdoor recreation.

Great presentation by YWCA Charleston on racial bias during today’s lunch and learn hosted by Charleston Area Alliance.

Favorite takeaways:

1. Companies in the top quartile for racial and ethnic diversity are 30% more likely to have financial returns above their respective national industry medians.

2. For every 10% increase in racial and ethnic diversity among senior executive teams, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rise .8%

3. Studies found that 48% of US companies with greater diversity at the senior level improved market share compared to 33% of US companies with less diverse management.
