Time for a little reality check.
Nowadays, it’s getting tough to know what’s real and what’s fake. AI is getting so good, deep fakes and videos meant to be harmless fun look so realistic, a lot of people take it as gospel. Some creators jump on the bandwagon because it makes creating more and more content easier than ever. And in many cases, I think that can be a good thing.
But when it comes to art, no matter the medium, nothing beats the real deal. As AI-produced photos and videos become more commonplace, I foresee those that stick to the craft growing in value, because we are creating from our own brains, not a prompt. We perfect the angles, manipulate light, and bring humanity to our work. Imperfections that reflect the real world, and working towards always being a little better.
Do that, we need more of that.
I don’t fear AI replacing creators. It’s an amazing tool that can enhance storytelling and automate alot of the annoying s**t, and cut out the noise so we can focus on our true purpose: to CREATE.
It’s not a challenge to our uniqueness, but an opportunity to let those unique styles stand out. AI is the easy button, but our crafts are not easy. And anything worth doing is never easy.
Keep going. Keep creating. Be different. Be wild in a tame world.
