When people outside of India think of the festival Holi, they think of the color festival. That is just a small part of the festival. Holi actually begins the day before with the lighting of the holi.
•
People offer food and clothing and other personal articles to the Holi to pray for the health and safety of their loved ones. Once they light it. The heat of the holi is considered to be cleansing for the mind, body and soul.

I’ve seen this all my life but it was truly breathtaking experiencing this again after so long.
