Behold! The Son of Laughter! Hi! My name is Harrison. I am Flora’s little brother. I was born on Father’s Day! Harrison is my daddy’s first name and his daddy’s middle name but they don’t go by it so I thought I would! Isaac is my middle name and mommy and daddy liked it because it means “son of laughter.” In a book of the Bible called Genesis, a really old man and woman named Abraham and Sarah laugh in disbelief when they hear God’s promise to them of bearing a child at their old ages, and God asks, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” After their son Isaac is born, Sarah joyfully declares, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.”
Who doesn’t love to laugh?! Apparently the weeks leading up to me being born were pretty funny too because my parents decided to travel, get sick, wrap up a bunch of work, repair one of their cars, plus pack up and move houses, all at the same time - and then I was born!
My sister said it was a blast. She got to go to a bunch of playgrounds and she ate ice cream for breakfast one day. Mommy said it all made for good television and that God was faithful the whole time. And daddy said he’s in awe of Hilary Siber Edwards who made it all look incredibly easy and that he’s the luckiest basket case this side of the nut house. I also heard them say that they couldn’t have done it all without the help they had from a bunch of people I just met called family and friends.
All aboard the funny bus, folks! The Edwards are a family of 4! Life is a miracle and there is a lot to look forward to!
