We had planned to open a business to carry us through our retirement years, but wasn't sure what avenue to take. We definitely did not expect to pursue this adventure so soon. I was content to design and sew clothing for my 4 grand-daughters. My clientele began to grow to school mates, teachers and friends. It was very rewarding and fun. When my son-in-law, Nick Meabon, bought Branum's Sewing Cent
er in Augusta, Georgia, he invited me to his 2014 Sewing University. Let me just tell you, it was a great learning time and a lot of fun meeting the ladies that makeup Branum's Sewing Center and the extended family of wonderful ladies who shop there. My son, RJ Bolich is now the store's General Manager and was equally a guiding factor in our decision to go in the direction of embroidery. Another influential factor was my other son-in-law, Mark Dorsey, who asked if we would like to do embroidery for his company. We bit the bullet and purchased a 16-needle, 1 head Melco Amaya OS. After all, parents have to support their kids careers, right? So, needless to say, all three of my boys, changed the direction for me from sewing just for the girls, to Ron & I embroidering for the world. I'm glad they have the faith in me. Ron & I are really excited about our new adventure and our hope is that this will carry us to and through our retirement years. We have 7 grandkids and 3 of the 7 live in another state. With me leaving the law firm and working full-time at our shop, I will have the opportunity to arrange my schedule to visit with them in Augusta and when they come visit here. That in itself is a dream come true. Since we opened, we have really grown. We are in the process of breaking thru walls and expanding the shop.
