🗓️ Nov 5th, Sunset 🌅 will be 5:01 PM EST. 😨

If we kept Daylight 🌞 Savings Time all year our local sunset would be an hour later. However, the sunrise 🌄 over the Winter would be as late as 8:30 AM! 😳

Would you be ok with that? Me- not so much!! Love to know what you think 🧐!

👠 For over a decade, I have had the pleasure of joining the great people of Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Glyndon, Finksburg, Hampstead and Westminster who have banded together to create Team Northwest!

👠 Team Northwest and our supporters have raised over $175k dollars for the kids and families of the Ronald McDonald House. It's been a beautiful expresssion of true community in these very troubled times.

‼️Being cautious can help you avoid becoming a victim of a phishing scam!

▫️Phishing is a fraudulent attempt to gain sensitive information (usernames, passwords, account numbers, etc.)

▫️Phishing attempts will try to trick you into clicking on a link or opening an attachment, often in the form of an email or text message that looks like it’s from a company you know or trust.

Here are some questions to ask yourself to help spot phishing attempts:

◻️ Is the DM, email or text message claiming there has been suspicious activity or a problem with your payment information?

◻️ Is the email or text message asking you to click on a link or open an attachment to verify your account?

◻️ Is the communication coming from who they say they are?

◻️ Is there an artificial sense of urgency in the message?

◻️ Is everything spelled correctly?

◻️ If it feels suspicious, it could be a phishing attempt. Real companies might communicate with you through email, but they typically won’t email you or text you to update your information.

◻️ If you’re questioning whether it’s real or not, its probably fake and it’s a good idea to reach out to the company or log in to the site directly to verify. Be smart! Be aware!
