Hey family! Let's talk about something that we've all experienced at some point in our lives - feeling stuck. Whether it's in our personal or professional lives, it's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of perfection instead of making progress.

But here's the thing, perfection is an illusion. It's impossible to achieve and can often lead to feelings of frustration and self-doubt. Instead, let's focus on making progress. Small steps forward can lead to big changes over time.

For those of you who are facing difficulties in your lives, remember that it's okay not to have everything figured out (most people don’t). Take a deep breath and give yourself some grace. Every journey is different, and it's important to celebrate the progress (no matter how big or small) you've made.

I attended the second annual Trunk or Treat given by the Columbus Division of Policing and the Columbus Division of Fire. It was a great event that the kids and parents really enjoyed.

As a police chaplain, one must have the calling to serve others selflessly. The Detroit Police Chaplain Corps is proud to announce that it has expanded its membership with 15 additional committed individuals as of September 22nd, 2023. These new members will provide spiritual guidance and counseling support for those in need within the department while also serving as a rock-solid foundation during challenging times. This expansion demonstrates Chief White's dedication to building an empathetic force capable of providing exceptional service both daily and when called upon during emergencies or crises. We are honored to welcome these remarkable people into our prestigious family at the Detroit Police Chaplain Corps as we work together toward creating safer communities through interconnectedness and compassionate care.
