The Duneland Family YMCA is proud to announce a marquee year for its annual Dancing Like the Stars benefit gala. This “one of its kind” fundraiser brings together neighbors, friends, colleagues and more from across northwest Indiana to celebrate some of Duneland’s brightest leaders. This community-favorite event will honor the Duneland YMCA’s 60 year anniversary with the bold theme: ‘Diamonds Are Forever.’ The event is presented by Trout Glass and Mirror Inc.
Join us to celebrate our diamond anniversary on Saturday, November 14, at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, MI. The Four Winds Casino is a proud member of the Duneland Chamber of Commerce and is looking forward to hosting this banner year for the Dancing Like The Stars event.
Dancing Like the Stars is the signature fundraising event for the Duneland Family YMCA’s annual campaign, playing a vital role in supporting our mission. Proceeds directly provide essential programs and provide income-based assistance for local families which ensures that everyone in our community has access to the resources they need to live healthier, more connected lives.
From helping to provide childcare at the Forchetti Family YMCA Center for Early Learning, to offering fitness and group exercise at the original Roosevelt location, to providing life-saving swimming lessons, senior programs, and more at the Duneland YMCA Healthy Living Campus, the Y remains deeply committed to enriching lives across every age and stage.
“This is an important year for the Duneland YMCA, with honoring 60 years of profound impact in the Duneland community to looking ahead to our bright future that is on the horizon,” said Dave Kasarda, Duneland Family YMCA Chief Executive Officer. “The Duneland community made last year’s event a historic moment: our largest fundraise and attendance. We are grateful that 800 of you are coming out once again to support and celebrate.”
