According to Cloudflare TikTok beat out Google as the most visited website of 2021. In 2020 TikTok was sitting in the 7th spot behind companies like Amazon, Netflix, Apple, Microsoft and Google.

But in 2021 TikTok beat out all of those websites, by claiming the top spot on the list.

Why this is important for your ?

Your firm shouldn't ignore the power of TikTok, especially if you’re looking to land clients in the GenZ or Millennial generations.

For instance your firm can post tips on what to do when interacting with police, or what to do after a traffic accident, advice on what to do after a divorce the possibilities are endless.

Posting these tips on TikTok can help generate cases for your firm.

Content is King for use these you want your to appear for specific words people use to find a firm online.

1. Write for your audience first

This is probably the most important thing that you need to keep in mind when writing or approving content that is written for your firm.

It seems easy, but so many firms make content and write it for search engines instead of a potential prospects.

Thinking that it will help them rank higher in the search engine results.

Focus on writing content that is readable and will appeal to the needs of your potential prospect or answers questions a prospect visiting your firms may have.

That is why your headlines need to grab the attention of your prospect so that you can walk them through the retainer process.

Make sure that your headlines are clear interesting and make sure to use the keyword you are trying to rank for.

Do NOT force the keyword in the headline.

3 reasons why your firm's website isn't generating any cases for your .

1. No one can find your firm's website organically online.

This one may seem obvious. But some firms feel that since they are getting some visitors their firm is doing well.

Not understanding that the only reason they are getting visitors is because people are searching for their firm by name.

Just because your firm spent a lot of money on getting a shiny new created, doesn't mean that the site is going to start generating cases for your firm.

The ultimate goal to getting the phone ringing at your firm, is to make sure that your website appears when someone 's a term like "How to hire a personal injury attorney in Chicago?" or "What to do after being pulled over for a DUI?".

With the The National Law Review estimating that 96% of people use a search engine for legal advice and 87% of those people contacting just ONE attorney and retaining them.

If your firm is not on the front page of the search results for popular words people use to rank, you won't get any. of those calls and your firm will need to rely on referrals to get cases.

2. Once people are on your website they can't find your contact information.

Paying a lot of money for a new website., does not mean that the person that created the website for your firm had in mind when they created it.

If the site wasn't built with SEO in mind then the site is going to have a harder time trying to battle it out in the search results against firms that are actively running an SEO campaign.

You also want to make sure your firm's call to action is visible.

Your phone numbers and contact forms need to POP on your website and not blend in with the rest of the site.

You could have a million prospects visit the site but if they are not calling your firm or filling out a contact form to retain your firm, then what's the point?

3. Your website looks aged.

You wouldn't have your office decorated with furniture from the 60s and 70s, why would you have your firm's website looking like it was created in the 90s and early 00s?

The look and feel of your website is going to dictate whether or not a prospect is going to retain your firm.

If they get a referral they are going to look up your firm, if they see a dated website the odds of them retaining you are slim to none.

Bonus**

Another reason why your firm isn't getting leads from Google is because your firm has no or negative reviews. When we buy something off of Amazon we look at reviews. When a prospect is hiring an they do the same thing.

Speak to a lot of firms that say that they are not getting the amount of cases they would like to get on a weekly basis.

But when you call their office they never answer.

When you look at their reviews you see clients saying that they never return calls or emails.

If your firm wants to get more clients and keep a high customer satisfaction rating you need to make sure that you are committed to communicating with your clients.

Answering their calls, texts and emails.

If you don’t other firms in your area will.

The law firms that have the most and the best reviews are the ones that are going to get the cases.

When a potential client gets your firm's number from a friend or they see your firm online, the first thing that prospect is going to do is look up your reviews.

So first things first.

Your firm should be asking for reviews.

After the case closes, ask for a review.

Continue to contact them for the next 3-4 days after the case is closed, requesting a review.

Make it easy for them to leave you a review by providing a link for them that will lead them straight to your firm's review page.

The biggest negative review that law firms get nationwide is that the attorney was not available to answer their client's questions when they needed them most.

The best way to avoid that is to set clear expectations with your client during your initial consultation with them.

Let them know the hours that you can be reached and the times that you will not be able to be reached.

Never ever forget to return a client's phone call.

If they reach out on a Sunday, and you do not return that client's call till Thursday, you are going to be setting yourself up for failure.

It can be hard for a lawyer to get 100% satisfaction for their clients since their fate depends on the court's decision.

But it isn't impossible; there are numerous firms nationwide that have hundreds of reviews and maintain a 5 star rating.

Although it may be a little difficult for a lawyer to achieve clients’ satisfaction, as their fate depends on the court’s decision.

Your firm should try to provide a supportive environment for your clients.

Give clients whatever resources they need, answer their questions, set proper expectations, be available for them whenever needed, and comfort them when they are having anxiety attacks related to their case.

These small tips go a long way in leaving a good impression on your clients.

Here are some simple tips to help your firm get in front of prospects online:

Make sure to have great content on your website.

Content is king for .

Google ranks words.

Think of Google as a large filing cabinet.

Your website is the file that is going to be stored in that cabinet.

How can you have your firm's website stored in that cabinet if you do not tell Google where to store it?

The content on your website tells Google where to file your website.

It tells Google what topic and subtopic your website fits in and if your website checks off all of Google's boxes.

✅ Make sure that you look at how many words worth of content your competitors have for the keywords you are attempting to rank for. Take the average of the top 5 sites and create enough content to match or surpass the amount of content they have.

✅ Each area of law that your firm practices should have its own page.

✅ Write the content for your audience.

❌ Avoid having all of the content for the areas of law that you practice on one page.

❌ Avoid one page website layouts.

❌ Avoid thin content that has no substance.

A lot of firms nationwide have great looking websites.

Many of them have lots of well written content on their website and they post blogs regularly.

Some firms even have a lot of prospects that visit their firm's website.

But when you speak to them and ask what their biggest challenge is they say that they cannot get anyone to click on anything on th website.

No one fills out their contact form, no one calls us from the website. No one takes any action on the website.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is very important.

You can have thousands of potential prospects visiting your website monthly but if they don't take action once they are there what's the point?

So what is preventing these prospects from reaching out and retaining your firm?

Simple.

9 times out of 10 the prospects can't see your contact information on the website.

A lot of times the issue is that the phone number and the contact form on the site is too small and they are the same color as everything else on the website and they blend in.

So prospects scroll right past it.

You'd be surprised how many firms only have their phone number tucked away on the bottom of their website.

They also don't make their phone numbers "clickable" with everyone on a smart phone it is important to make it so that the prospect can touch that phone number and make a call instantly.

Make sure that all contact forms and phone numbers on the website are visible and their colors contrast everything else on the website.

Make sure that it can be seen and that they are front and center.

Prospects should never be scrolling through your website trying to find how they would get in contact with you.

Content is super important when you are trying to get your firm in front of the potential clients that are on searching for your services.

When creating content make sure you are creating useful content on your website, you also want to make sure that the content you are writing is written for people not for Google.

Meaning that if you are trying to rank for Tax Law Attorney Los Angeles, or Personal Injury Attorney Miami you don't want to plaster those words all over what you are writing.

Make sure that you include it in your main title (H1 Tag) and with in the first 100 words of your content.

Google's algorithm is smart enough to know what the article is about.

A big mistake firms make is that they take their keywords and put them into the content they are writing a lot of times.

Not only will the content not be readable if you do that.

It will be sure to trigger a Google penalty.
