Beyond her client work, Sheila is dedicated to advancing financial education and community leadership. Congratulations to the winners of the 2026 NAPFA Financial Planning Competition in the NEMA and West regions!

West Region Winners
Ansley Heibult – Grand Canyon University senior double-majoring in Spanish and Financial Planning who aspires to become a financial advisor, specializing in serving female business owners and families with disabilities.
Mahlia Lowe – Grand Canyon University senior pursuing a B.S. in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Planning and is passionate about entering the industry amid the historic wealth transfer as women take on a greater role in managing financial assets.

NEMA Region Winners
Anthony Semelka – Saint Vincent College sophomore double majoring in Finance and Accounting and President of the Finance and Accounting Club, where he demonstrates leadership and commitment to financial literacy.
Mariano Jimenez – Saint Vincent College junior pursuing Finance and Mathematics, with a minor in Economics and a Legal Studies Certificate. On campus, he serves as an economics tutor, financial manager for The Review, and a PICPA student ambassador.

Hosted by NAPFA’s regional boards, the competition challenges students to solve a real-world case study and submit their recommendations via video. Judges evaluate teams on their application of the CFP Board’s eight principal knowledge domains, advanced planning techniques, creativity, and presentation skills. We are proud to celebrate these students, along with the mentors and programs that support them!
