It takes 2, bb. That means that if you’re goal in outsourcing your social media is to collaborate and co-create an amazing social presence, welp…you have a role in the outcome as well.
Here’s what we need to make your feeds a triumph:
✔️give proactive feedback and be honest. Retroactive feedback doesn’t do anyone any good.
✔️allow time for greatness. Your social media manager cannot be creative on command. Give them enough leeway to develop on-point strategy and content.
✔️allow yourself to be uncomfortable. Remember, you hired them for a reason. Take some risks and allow them to shine as experts.
✔️respect their off time. Communication is key but everyone needs to disconnect.
✔️be responsive. You need something to go live and we need you. You aren’t the only client, respectfully.
✔️understand how to measure success realistically for your brand…not someone else’s. Likes don’t matter. Neither do followers. What does success look like for you?
