Jargon often leads to overly complicated writing. You may be an expert in your industry and using technical terms may come natural to you but there’s often a better way to say things than using jargon.

Think about your audience and what you’re really trying to communicate. It’s important to keep things as simple as possible, especially when providing information. Content that is easier to read will engage readers and help relate to the story you’re trying to tell.

Avoid using jargon by using simpler words. A great way to revise your content is to have someone who is not familiar with the topic read over your work and give you feedback.

Did you know that social media costs are tax deductible when used for professional use?

If you are a business owner it’s important have a Facebook business page rather than using your personal account to promote your business. There are no tax breaks for managing your own Facebook feed.

Creating a page solely for your business allows you to create targeted ads, track followers and engagement. Not only that but it’s likely that you don’t want your clients and potential clients to see your personal posts. Typically Facebook users don’t want to “add” a business as their friend.
