You've probably heard that 'video is king' nowadays on social media. 👑
It's true, and have really begin favoring video over regular pictures and posts. So, how can YOU capitalize on the newest trend online? Check out our Top 5 streaming apps so you can go live and get that sweet, sweet engagement. 💕
1.) If you've ever watched a YouTube video or a Twitch stream, chances are it was made with - Open Broadcaster Software. Whether you're making a YouTube video or just going live in your Facebook group, OBS is the most functional open-source (free!) program on the market. Why we like it: you can add filters called 'LUTs' to your video, add noise suppression to block out your loud roommates, remove your background with green screen support, sharing your screen, and even add banners and text overlays to brand your video! We give this one the purple star of approval. 🌟
2.) is one you've probably heard of before. With the option to add up to 6 panelists, it's perfect for collaborating with other business owners or presenting something as a team. It also offers branding like OBS, but you have to deal with Streamyard's obtrusive logo unless you have the paid version. Their free plan is very generous, but for video marketing aficionados, you will probably want the paid version at $25 bucks a month. 💰
3.) If you're looking for something that serves lots of different purposes, check out . As the name suggests, it's great for making webinars for courses and websites, but you can also use it to go live on facebook as well. You can share your screen, add different participants, and customize your branding all in the app. What sets this one apart, though, is the connections. You can easily connect it to your other business apps like , , , and others to track the metrics of your videos and/or share them with a wider audience. 📼
4.) is an simple and easy-to-use streaming service that lets you record videos and have them go 'live' later, which is perfect for people who want to premiere a new product or service. You can have one other guest with you, which is why a lot of marketers use it for live interviews. Another cool feature is that it can pull the Facebook comments right into the BeLive software, so you don't have to have Facebook open to read those comments. 📘
5.) , of course, had to make it on this list somewhere! Its free plan is limited; anything over 3 users is capped at 40mins of video time, but that should be plenty for a Facebook live! It also has background features if you're using a green screen so you could appear in a tropical paradise...provided your lighting is good enough. While not the most user friendly option, it's free and you've probably already got it installed, so why not give it a shot? 🤷♂️
Whew! That was a lot, but we hope you got some good info out of all this. Be ready to see more of our beautiful faces in 2021 as we put these tools to the test.
