Why I don’t care that much about keeping up with social media trends (and what to do instead).
👇
Social media is noisy and unpredictable.
‣ Your voice is easily drowned out in long promo threads
‣ Conversations with potential leads get lost in the notifications
‣ The “next new thing” is always around the corner
The noise pressures us to be online all hours of the day.
The trends and fads pressure us to “keep up”.
But when you’re a busy mom trying to make the most of your time, you’ve got to be particular about where your energy goes.
The pressure to do it all will keep you stuck, feeling inadequate, and doubting your own potential for success as long as you let it.
Here’s a beautiful reality that will feel like a breath of fresh air:
Your success doesn’t rely on you maintaining your “edge” on social media or staying “ahead of the curve”.
To be completely real with you, I don’t care much for social media apart from what it can do for my business (most of my clients are the same way).
You CAN still leverage the amazing tool that is social media without letting it dictate how you show up, how you feel, and ultimately how you grow your business.
How?
You stop chasing all of the shiny objects online, and anchor into ONE clear and intentional social media strategy.
I wrote a blog post to help you with this: A simple social media strategy for busy mom entrepreneurs (AKA the fastest path to consistent clients)
