Chicago’s Navy Pier is the place for iconic events.

Vertical toured the huge facility and added Navy Pier to our portfolio of venues.

It offers a range of spaces for events of all sizes, from intimate meetings to large-scale
receptions, all with incredible views of the city.

The Aon Grand Ballroom has dramatic
arched ceilings and stunning lake views. For very large events, Festival Hall offers
170,000 square feet of event space and can be divided. Its multiple meeting rooms provide additional options.

Vertical went behind the scenes at 6311arts Gallery as they prepare for their August Show, opening August 29.

The show features work from Jeffrey Equality Brooks, Brian Eaton, Alejandra Guerrero, Eddwin Meyers, Heir Porter, Hector Hernandez, and Harry Sudman, on view through
October 17, 2026.

Congratulations to Chicago Cabaret Professionals!

Vertical attended its Emerging Artist Showcase at Gateway Lounge on August 13.

This showcase is one of Chicago Cabaret Professionals biggest nights of the year.

Five amazingly talented finalists took the stage: Rachel H. Maloney, Joel D’Aroya (i can't login on my old acc 😭), Gabriella Longo, Dee Pace, and Bryn Daney, each performing to a
packed house and a panel of judges. 2025 scholarship winner Aurora Boe also returned to perform songs from her solo debut, “My Little Voice.”

Dee Pace won and walked away with the Denise Tomasello Cabaret Scholarship to help fund her first solo cabaret show.

We loved capturing the energy in the room and can’t wait to see where these performers go next.

A lot goes into a single shot.

We spent the day at the Driehaus Museum, moving crew and camera through one of Chicago’s most beautiful interiors for a new Vertical production. From the street outside to the grand staircase and the period rooms, every setup was built to make the space look as good on camera as it does in person.

The finished piece is coming. This is how it gets made.

Creative Synergy is back, and this round belongs to the musicians.

On Thursday, August 20, Vertical is bringing together Chicago’s songwriters, musicians, and lyricists for a free evening built on a simple premise. The people who make this city’s music should know each other. Expect live performances, a panel, food and drinks, and a room full of artists who might not otherwise cross paths.

Chicago’s creative community is the city’s third-largest industry.

A study from Arts Alliance Illinois counted nearly 213,000 creative jobs and $50 billion in annual output, which puts creative work ahead of retail and ahead of manufacturing. Behind every one of those numbers is a person making something.

The Obama Presidential Center sold out yesterday morning, and the subject was Chicago sports’ impact on business.

The Executives’ Club of Chicago brought together the people turning this city’s teams into serious business, and the marketing lesson was everywhere in the room. Teams win fans on the field. They build revenue off it, growing community year after year until the team becomes part of people’s identity.
