Lauren + Tim | Michigan Posey Lake Wedding | Spoon Photo and Design

Like so many other couples, Lauren and Tim had to change their original plans. They moved their original date up by six weeks, and within a matter of a month, had put together a celebration at her grandparents lake house. They were surrounded by less family and friends than originally planned, but they still had a celebration to remember! Lauren's two requests - to marry Tim and be on the water!

It was wonderful capturing their wedding (and like Lauren, I love being on the water!) To many happy years together!

Sara + Rob | Galleria Marchetti Wedding | Chicago Photographer | Spoon Photo and Design

I was like a giddy kid in anticipation of Sara and Rob's wedding - I knew it was going to be amazing and so much fun! It did not disappoint! From the small details, like Rob wearing his Grandfather's ring, to the kick ass band that danced their guests late into the evening, Sara and Rob celebrated life and love to the fullest. They were champs taking photos outside in the midst of a Chicago winter and Sara rocked the most beautiful white fur. I know they have an amazing life ahead of them and I can't wait to see what happens next! According to her Dad, "hopefully lots of babies!" ;-)

Stephanie and Dave have been together for 12 years and put together their intimate wedding in two months. They were ready, why wait any longer!? With a total of 13 guests in attendance, who came from literally all over the world, their day was about celebrating their love! I've never seen two people just radiate the entire day more than these two. I loved spending the day with them and their family and capturing their celebration was a true joy. Wishing them all the best!

Kelly + Adam | Medinah Country Club | Spoon Photo and Design

Kelly and Adam started out in a long-distance relationship after meeting online. From their first date, they felt immediately comfortable with the other and knew they had something special. Fast forward a few years later, a move to be in the same city and a proposal that included a surprise filled with family and friends - these two were married at the gorgeous Medinah Country Club.

While it rained at their engagement session in Nashville (and was freezing cold!), Mother Nature decided it should rain again on their wedding day. We lucked out with some portraits outside at their grandparents stunning home however before the skies opened up. The rain however was fitting, as Kelly's parents had gotten married at Medinah CC as well and it had also rained on their wedding! I'm calling it the best of luck!

I know these two are off relaxing on their honeymoon (and well deserved!) but I want to send a big congratulations to them on their stunning day. To many more happy and healthy years ahead!

Langham Hotel Wedding | Kelly + Walter | Spoon Photo and Design

Kelly and Walter first met as residents just months before they each left for their fellowship training. Kelly went to Miami and Walter to Columbus. After 2 years of long-distance, a lot of Facetime and airline miles, they got engaged in Paris! They now both work and live back in Chicago

They were married at the beautiful Langham hotel on Saturday surrounded by their family and friends! The weather held out perfectly so we could capture some stunning portraits of the two of them as well as an amazing sparkler exit with their bridal party! Finally, shout out to their little pup, Edgar, who is thirteen and made the cutest flower girl!

Please wish a very happy 'Congrats!' to Kelly and Walter!!

Margaret and Brian didn't want the traditional wedding. From their mixed metal matching wedding bands, to their message-in-a-bottle guest book, Margaret and Brian did their wedding their own way and it was stunning! They said "I Do" facing the city as the sun set and then had the most amazing sunset I've seen for portraits! It was a night filled with love and laughter as these two sailed into married life! Congrats to Margaret and Brian!

Indianapolis Central Library | Logan + Jason | Spoon Photo and Design

Every time Jason looks at Logan, it's like he's seeing her for the first time. He lights up, his eyes sparkle - honestly, it's just ridiculously adorable. I've known Logan for roughly 15 years and so when I first met Jason - I was immediately won over by his kind, caring and personable demeanor. It's a perfect compliment to Logan's bubbly and adorable personality.

Logan and Jason met in Indianapolis at a house party Jason's friends were throwing. They started out as friends, but after a few months, Logan decided it was time to go out on a date with Jason! While scanning the menu at dinner, Jason asked Logan if she likes mussels. She responded "yes" to which he followed up with "How about the food?" After the amazing mussels/muscles pun, she was hooked!

I love these two with all my heart and couldn't have asked for a better day for them to say, "I Do!" To Logan and Jason - may your years be filled with constant love and more amazingly horrible pun jokes that always keep you both laughing!

Gabby + Jonathan | Knollwood Country Club | Spoon Photo and Design

Gabby and Jonathan were married on the most beautiful day! One of the first things Gabby said to me when I walked in was, "I'd pay for this weather!" and I couldn't have agreed more!

Jonathan and Gabby met in high school but didn't reconnect until the summer before Gabby's senior year of college. After moving in together, they got a toy goldendoodle, Otis (who is ridiculously cute!) While taking Otis for a walk, Jonathan told Gabby he had purchased Otis a new dog collar. He showed it to Gabby and inscribed on the collar it read, "Will you marry me?" As she looked up from the collar, Jonathan was down on one knee!

The personal touches throughout their day were endless - from Jonathan's cufflinks with their wedding date, to their ice sculpture, to the monogrammed napkins on the head table! On a side note, Jonathan is a fellow Miami Redhawk alum! Love and Honor!

I know these two are having a blast on their honeymoon and I wish them all the best in the years to come! Congratulations Gabby and Jonathan!

Erika and Chris were married Saturday on an absolutely perfect day! They met in 2012 at a tiki bar in Chicago. The drinks were good but their attraction for each other was better! A few years later, here we are!

They were married at Assumption Catholic Church and then took a water taxi into their reception at River Roast! Pretty sure taking a water taxi into your reception is one of the best ways to make an entrance!

After a few toasts that didn't leave a dry eye, the hit the dance floor! It was a wonderful day and I wish them all the best!
