When we set out to do Vicious Cycle this year, we knew we wanted the ride to make an impact this year. An impact on our own lives, but also the lives of others. After months of training and weeks of fundraising, we can happily sit back and say we accomplished those things and more. We’re looking forward to next years ride already! If you’re a cyclist, or even if you aren’t, there’s a role for you in this ride. We’d love to have anyone new be a part of this incredible feat!

Lift yourself up. Lift others up. That’s what this ride has always been about for me. A chance to push your body further than you thought you could. A chance to set a goal you feel so certain you won’t hit, but then you get to realize you actually did it. This ride is a reminder of what motivates you. When you get so down in your head out there and don’t feel you can pedal another mile, you remember why you’re riding. Not just because, but to lift up the people around you.

We finished our 330 mile trek from Evansville to Chicago yesterday! I still haven’t quite come up with words to express how grateful I am for the team who helped me bring this wild idea to life, for the riders who pedaled their hearts out the broomwagon crew who kept us safe, the party planners who welcomed us on both the beginning and the end, and honestly the support from friends and family has just left us all in awe.

Tomorrow is the day y’all! I’m writing this from a car filled with snacks, helmets, bikes and eager riders and broomwagoners as we all make our way to the starting point💪🏻 it’s moments like these where I am kind of in shock (and awe) of the strength our community has when we come together to make something happen. Those little moments of people popping out to get that one last thing, the donations everyone has made, the check-in texts and the encouragement from so many of you—it’s these gestures that lift me up beyond words. I can’t wait to get out and ride for this cause tomorrow. Thank you everyone, really🧡🙏🏻

Me reenacting the fall I was about to have on my bike in the coming hour. Floorshadowing😏 I had a bit of a tumble off of my bike this weekend during my last training ride before Vicious. We opened our doors in 1976 as a creative and production house. Today, Grin is an agency focused on strategy, branding and analytics. We’ve changed quite a lot, but continue to bend over backward (never forward) to keep our clients happy. We believe in making mistakes, staying foolish and having a glass-laugh-full attitude.

We decided to launch Grin on April Fool’s Day (which also happened to be Easter this year) to have our first birthday on a day that stands for foolishness. A day where it’s okay to be a little weird, play some pranks, make people smile and not take anything too seriously. We think all days can be like this.

Our Can-Do-Mandments 1. Play well with others. 2. Have a glad attitude. 3. Be a grinnovator. 4. The glass is always laugh full. 5. Bend over backward. Never forward. 6. Have enemies. 7. Stay foolish.
