Just closed my second Lake Shore Drive condo of all time.

This one was especially fun. My buyer was referred to me through a friend’s dad, and I had the opportunity to help him purchase a condo for his son, who starts a new job in Chicago this fall.

Talk about the American Dream.

To be in a position where you can buy your child a condo in one of the greatest cities in the world, with views like these, is something to be proud of. The long-term plan is simple: when his son eventually moves on, they’ll hold the property as an investment, rent it out, and create another stream of income for their family while enjoying the fruits of years of hard work and sacrifice.
This is just the beginning of one family’s journey, and I can’t wait to watch it come full circle.
It’s also a reminder that I’m in a season of my career where things are starting to come full circle, too. Referrals, repeat business, relationships built years ago, it’s a gift to wake up every day and do work you genuinely love.

Some days are hard. Real estate isn’t easy. But the good days remind you exactly why it’s worth it.

If it were easy, everyone would do it.

Class of 2001 checking in...

With graduation season upon us, I’ve been thinking about one of the best pieces of advice I ever received.
A college professor once told me, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”

At 18, I didn’t think much of it.

Today, I think it may have been one of the most valuable truths I’ve ever learned.

After high school, I spent three years at Parkland College before transferring to Illinois State University. Along the way, I worked at Outback Steakhouse, a local country club where I was the beverage cart girl ( ), waited tables, bartended, and met so many incredible people.

Like most people in their twenties, I was just living life. Making friends, working hard, paying bills, and trying to figure things out. I certainly didn’t have some grand master plan.

Then, at 30 years old, someone I knew presented me with an opportunity in real estate.
I quit bartending on a Friday and started my new career on Monday.

That opportunity changed my life.

Looking back, what’s funny is that every major chapter of my life seems connected to a person I met in the chapter before it. A friend. A coworker. A customer. A mentor. A manager. A conversation.

The jobs mattered.
The education mattered.
But the relationships mattered most
Turns out my professor was right.
It really wasn’t about what I knew.
It was always about who I knew.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last 25 years, it’s that you never know which relationship, conversation, or opportunity is quietly shaping the next chapter of your life. 🔥

My daily routine is getting out of control.
Let me intro you to my wellness command center... aka every woman’s “wellness starter pack.”

Red light mask. ✔️
Vibration plate. ✔️
Acupressure mat. ✔️
Yogi Toes. ✔️

Hard to believe I had the audacity to survive at 26 off of red bull vodkas, late nights, and about $150 to my name.

Now at 43, I’m over here separating my toes, standing on a vibration plate, and laying on a bed of nails in the name of wellness.

23-year-old Kimberly would NEVER!!!

I know somebody wants to tell me I’m missing something so what is it lol

Worth it though. 💁🏼‍♀️✨
