When I started 𝐋𝐕𝐑𝐆 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 five years ago, Facebook, Google, and Instagram ads still seemed so innovative. 👶🏼 Nowadays, almost every chiropractor has jumped on the Silicon Valley wagon. The problem with this wagon is that anybody can come along and do the same thing as you, maybe even better, which means that it has lost its competitive advantage.

💸Chiropractors don’t have king’s coffers. 💸 We can’t just throw money at anything that walks by us.💸

As I’ve mentioned before, I believe a practice should be spending 12% of collections on marketing. Not 12% of current collections, but 12% 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.

What makes a lot of chiropractors uneasy about that is they don’t want to be wrong. In an unfortunate twist of fate, there are no guarantees. In anything. Something that worked for a friend or enemy may not work for you. You need to be looking for the strategies that make you think, “𝙞𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙭𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮, 𝙞𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠.”

I’ve found that, just like when dealing with patients, the more details people get the more things they worry about and question. 𝐈𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞. When you’re sitting down with an agency:

If your site is not set up for conversions, it isn’t integrated with an online scheduler, it’s not StoryBranded, there’s stock imagery, it looks like it was thrown together by a college student on Winter break, it’s going to affect your conversion percentages.

I don’t want to waste their money driving traffic to a site that people will immediately bounce off of. 💸

𝙂𝙚𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨. Look at the local traffic to your site. If it’s not converting as well as you’d like it to think about how it might convert and how many more visits you could attract if your site was built to share your story.

People are going to choose another chiropractor over you because they didn’t like your website, but they’re not going to call you to tell you that. We have to learn a lesson from Yelp.

𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 “𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 “𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞” 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫. This is where the link to your practice’s website would show up. These organic search results are continuing to be pushed further and further down the webpage - after Google Ads, the Map Pack, and “People Also Ask”. Considering that most traffic comes from mobile, by the time people scroll through to the organic results they’ve probably forgotten what they were searching for. 🤔

🖤Plus, there’s the Google and The Joint sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G of it all.🖤

This isn’t to say that these search results aren’t important, they just can’t be the only strategy you’re relying on.
