You may have heard that digital printing is the next best thing. The fact is, digital printing is nowhere near the quality of traditional offset printing when it comes to pantone reproduction. For a quality pantone print, ink must be specially mixed on a per job basis. Digital presses cannot accommodate custom mixed inks – try putting “orange” in your office inkjet printer and you’ll understand.
