I left the corporate world and started my own business at 55.

Not just for the financial freedom.

It was to get back everything that I sacrificed as a woman:

My time.
My voice.
My joy.

Myself.

I was never the priority.

I couldn’t be if I wanted a seat at the table.

Now I am.

Owning your own business is the hardest job you’ll ever have, but it will be one of the most rewarding.

You’ll wake up every morning with the greatest feeling in the world, because you know that what you’ve created, is because of you.

Deciding to start my own business was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Thank you for being here, for being a part of my community!

You have made the past 7 years so meaningful – I’m so grateful for all the women small business owners I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I wake up every morning so grateful, knowing I get to come here to connect with you, to support you, to help you, to inspire you.

As much as I wanted to rush the timeline, I kept putting in the work.

I was patient.

Then it happened.

I exited corporate and launched my business.

And now, being patient with that timeline, resulted in something even greater.

I’ve discovered this new joy – connecting with a community of women in midlife, over 50, who are navigating the same things in life, right here on social media, I’m incredibly grateful to see what is unfolding everyday.

Fast forward to today, and I’m sitting here, feeling so incredibly grateful, because of the new joy thats happened, that I’ve discovered – .I found you, you found me, and that you find value in my content!

So my message to you today – keep going! You will reach your goal and the success that you seek for yourself.

Someone once told me I couldn’t do it.

Why would someone my age want to share my story on social media?

And sadly I believed them.

Someone else said, just document your day with pictures, and share it on social media. And just wait for the reaction. But more importantly, listen to how it makes you feel. There is a beauty you’ll discover that is so profound.

Because that is your unique story.

That was me. I said that second part! 😁

Tbh, I don’t care if I’m being annoying sharing what I share, and I want all women, who are in midlife, over 50, to feel confident doing the same.

Don’t let other people’s opinions influence your feelings, your worth.

Let’s lean into who we are. You earned it! 💖💖

Being a woman over 50 isn’t the beginning of the end.

I’s the beginning of YOU!

Midlife is an opportunity for rediscovery. But it doesn’t have to be scary. It’s an opportunity to bring back what we pushed aside for so long. Everything we sacrificed about ourselves.

And put the focus back on us.

Our happiness.
Our joy.
Our opportunities.

Here are three things I’ve rediscovered about myself, in this stage of life. And I’m proudly no longer apologizing for who I am.

Likes is an engagement, but it’s not the priority.

This is what life has been like as a woman over 50.

But I’m not going to lie. It took me a bit of time to get here.

I didn’t feel worthy — you mean I could do something just for me?

I also struggled with my identity after being on autopilot for so many years. Who am I, really?

But once I chose gratitude for where I am now, midlife, over 50, things happened….

I’m now a part of an elite group — the best community of midlife women.

I’m traveling to places I dreamed about — oh Italy, you have my heart! 🇮🇹❤️

And I’m creating content! I’m not afraid, I’m just doing it because you all have inspired me.
