Yesterday a few of our team members were invited to attend thanks to our client, MC Machinery. Fabtech is a trade show of 48,000 metal forming, fabricating, welding & finishing professionals and happens every year in one of three cities: Chicago, Las Vegas or Atlanta. This year it was in Chicago at McCormick Place, which is just down the street from Slack!

Please welcome our new Intern, Giselle Downs. Originally from Downers Grove, Illinois, she is currently enrolled at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is studying and . In her free time Giselle enjoys playing tennis 🎾, taking care of her plants 🌱 and baking delicious foods 👩🏼‍🍳🍰! She currently belongs to the club tennis team and Business Scholars 📈 at UIC. Her favorite places to eat in the city are Cho Sun Ok and Crisp. When she grows up, she wants to be someone who has made a profound difference in another’s life. The name of her autobiography would be “The Life and Lies of Giselle Downs”. She is inspired by the fact that we can be whoever we want to be. She starts her day with music 🎧. Today we welcome our new Intern, Sashwatha Sridhar. Originally from Hyderabad, India, she received her Master of Arts in public relations and advertising from DePaul University. 🎓

In her free time, Sash enjoys cooking Indian food 🌶, reading children’s books 📖, watching sunsets from different places in the city 🌇, trying every single veggie burger on earth 🍔, Bollywood dancing 💃🏻, and most importantly……NETFLIX! She loves eating at Velvet Taco in Chicago, and especially enjoys their fried paneer taco — YUM 🌮😋. When she grows up, she wants to be a Copywriter/Creative Director and a children’s book writer.
