This year, RAI Media’s Annual Christmas Party was hosted at the OG Lou Malnati's Pizzeria (established back in the spring of 1971) in Lincolnwood, just down the street from our headquarters.
The veggie pizza was a hit, but the sleeper has to be their Malnati Salad Romaine (lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, mushrooms, Volpi salami bits, and gorgonzola cheese with their sweet vinaigrette and Romano cheese). Like Bad Company, I just “Can't Get Enough” of that. The only place Lou’s fell short was in its beer selection, which offered only two IPAs that appeared flat or outdated. Maybe it would do them justice to clean the lines once in a while, but I digress.
Post-lunch, the RAI crew ventured into karaoke territory and never looked back. We were treated to different iterations of artists like Kid Rock (“Cowboy”), Ed Sheeran (“Castle on the Hill”), Ashanti (“The Way That I Love You”), Survivor (“High on You”), and Bob Marley (“No Woman, No Cry”). There were plenty of other songs, and it was a great time watching coworkers come out of their shells and show their adventurous side.
All in all, the Christmas party was a success, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again next year 🎄🎤
